I think I might wait a little too for all the 'BETA testers' out there.

As someone else requested, can you let us know how you are stopping this from happening again? Are you not removing the 'Title ID' but rather deleting all the data that is associated with this?

I'll explain what my tool does.

1. It modifies channel TMD to remove all its contents.
2. It also modifies title version to make the Wii think we have a veeeeeeeery high version installed.

Also, I'm waiting for some cool functions to be developed by marcan to improve this application.

About if this could be detected by Nintendo... it could be detected even without the version modification.

Firstable thank you very much for this great tool. But there is one thing, that make me nervously. You wrote a modiefy that the Wii is thinking there is a very high version installed. I think nobody can say if there will be came any problems with updates in the future. Is it possible to make the "Channel Remover" without this mod?
I would be eternally grateful to you

Just ran this via the TP hack (first time I used it) and it worked perfectly. I did have to format my SD card to just FAT though, as I got the cluster error because my SD card was formatted to FAT32 (so thanks to ryutheevilguy for pointing this out). Double channels (caused by Fire Emblem NTSC) are gone forever. Huge thanks to waninkoko, you, sir, are a genius! I'm very excited to see what's coming next!

You said that it updates the Wii to a 'really high version'... Is this the smartest idea? Maybe a version that just updates to the latest one? Thanks.
Can't you randomize a "very high version" so nintendo cant block everyone who have that versionnumber?

Does this mean that we are not too far off getting a un-semi brick (now that the new updates break trucha)? Or is the technicalities behind this very different.

To un semi brick you would have to modify the firmware so it is detected by the Wii as an upgrade of the current firmware.

I don't know if it's possible yet.

Hello everyone.

In the download there are 3 ISOs; PAL US and Jap so if you have a PAL Wii with double US channels do you use the PAL ISO?
The reason I ask is that burnt the PAL version to DVD using Imgburn but the Wii failed to recognise the disc. I thought that it might have something to do with the file size so I used Filechop to pad it out to 1459978240 (standard Gamecube size) but I got the same result.

Could someone please point out what I a doing wrong as I don't won't to destroy any more discs.

Regards to all.
