Any advice on how to achieve a good "clear" color scheme for custom joy con shells?

Every time I try, it ends up looking like original Gray Joy Cons.

v1.2 is out and supports profile backups/restores. On the main menu, press [L] to backup and [R] to restore.

I did a backup of my current color scheme (made via pc tool) but when I try to restore says can't find backup. And when I look into the profile.json file I don't see any reference to backup..

The backup you made is something different, and you need to restore it via the pc tool you used. The "backup" done by my homebrew simply consists in saving the colors of the Joy-Cons to the json file. And you have to do this backup within my homebrew.
If you just need to chance the color, the predefined color profiles should have you covered, and if not you can Google it up

right what I figured what was going to do. was backup my custom coloring to the profile.json file. and then I started playing around. I change colors. But when I tried to restore. Didn't restore my custom color settings. I know I can add my own custom setting to the json file. But what i'm trying to report is the backup "doesn't seem to save" any setting to the json file. Or backup only works for default coloring?

With SXOS running on the Switch, I wonder if it is possible to change the system color itself using a tool like this if those values were found. I have a Pokémon edition lite that board swapped and the colors don’t match.

Has this been tested with the latest Switch/Joy-con firmware? The app just freezes as soon as it opens and doesn't let me choose a color. None of the buttons seem to do anything.

Can you try this binary? I recompiled it with the latest devkitpro but can't test it since I don't have my switch around

I ended up upgrading to lasted firmware and ams cfw, and it works just fine for me with the current github release. Are you using SXOS by any chance? Maybe it breaks something

I have played around with this for a while, I attached the json. Give a few of these a shot.

I will mess with the colors but does anybody have the tsum tsum disney official color codes?

aa2eb4 and ff4c84 seem to be really close when I sample in photoshop.

json attached.

Hey there @Homlet , first of amazing little app you made here as per usual.

Q: is it possible to change the buttons color to neon or at all? And as the others asked any recommendation on a see through color?

Yes it is indeed possible to change the button color. It's the L_BTN and R_BTN in the json file. You can use this website to easily generate a color profile https://hamletdufromage.github.io/JCpicker.html . For transparent bodies I'm not sure, perhaps white, light gray, or dark grey/black? Play around with it :)

Is putting the joycons in low power state a similar implementation to this feature? (sending hex codes to the joycon?) stethix video
This feature would be neat, in case it isn't a huge effort to add
