So I've been trying to do some research over the past few weeks and I feel like I'm chasing my tail. I have a V1 original patched switch. What would you recommend as the best modchip for it? I'm fine with the soldering, just not too sure if I should go the rp2040 or sx or hwfly route. I'd like to possibly be able to backup my original firmware and go back and forth if possible to be able to play online. Thank you!

Probably HWFLY since picofly is harder to solder.

Hi all quick question I am waiting to see how development goes regarding the picofly.

Is there any risk updating my devices to newest versions while waiting or is it best to stay as low as possible.

Thank you

Tried to install new game via Tinfoil, Switch froze and after restarting I got this error:

Error Code: 2002-4364 (0x221802)
Program: 010000000000001F
Firmware: 13.0.0 (Atmosphere version...)

Tried
- searching and deleting folder 010000000000001F but haven't found it
- updating hekate to 6.0.2 and atmosphere to 1.5.1
(OFW 13.0, don't know how to update it without disabling autoRCM as I don't have the jig at the moment)
- even deleted atmosphere folder on SD card and replaced it with new version
- booted to OFW, Switch said some files on SD cards are corrupted and will be deleted, let them delete it and reboot it
- deleted all saved data and games
- tried benchmarking SD card (FAT 32) in Hekate, no errors

I have an eMMC backup but have no experience with it as I bought it from a seller who did it. I don´t have the RCM jig and the AutoRCM is enabled. Using chip HW.FLY

Anything else I can do? Have no clue what should I do next. Thanks.
Well you made a thread asking the same exact question and they recommended you to disable nogc. Did you try doing that?
is there an easy way to resize paritions on the sd card without backuping up every and wiping everything.

I have hekate 6.0.2 installed and originalli was going to run android on my switch
So my sd is partitions
fat32/emummc/android
I want to delete the android partition
move emummc further in the layout
expand fat32 with the extra space from the android partition.
Have you tried using Hekate to resize the partitions?
v1 hack, emunand cfw(it auto boot, config in hetake i think, else u need to hold - when power up switch), i use jig to active amotsphere

there are three firmware i saw in hetake
ofw , emunand cfw, emunand ofw
i usually pick emunand cfw when want to play hack on cfw firmware, when i want play online , i just completely shut switch down

so simple, just
1 - go github download atmosphere newest files, put it in microsd
2 - turn on switch, ofw, update firwmare
3 - turn on switch with jig to enter cfw if i want play hack else, stay in 2 until boring, hmm
Well if you are using the jig to enable RCM (not necessarily Atmosphere), then it sounds like you're not using AutoRCM and you've just stated that you are using emuMMC.

I'm just confused on what you mean by "ofw" in your Hekate menu. Is it OFW for sysMMC? OFW is just a mode; saying you are booting OFW is not specific. Do you see how you listed "emuNAND CFW" and "emuNAND OFW"? It should say something like that next to "ofw". Assuming you are referring to sysMMC OFW, you can update your firmware by bringing the console online. You will just irreversibly burn your anti-downgrade fuses when you do so meaning you won't be able to downgrade in case a better exploit is released on a lower firmware version. There are ways of updating your firmware without burning fuses if you are interested.

Probably HWFLY since picofly is harder to solder.
I don't honestly mind the soldering at all, micro soldering was my bread and butter for 10 years. Is there an advantage of one over the other, but if you were to stick to the hwfly, this one is good for a patched V1 right?

V4 Core is flashable and upgradeable. But there's a big and it doesn't work with the Toshiba eMMC consoles.

V5 Core is upgradeable and flashable. Uses the SX ic and supports the Toshiba eMMC consoles.

You need to check if you have a Toshiba eMMC

I just opened it up. It's the Samsung eMMC.

Hello, i had a question about HWFLY and OLED Switch, when everything is done, and the switch use atmosphere and successfully boot automatically with Atmosphere, is there a way to use OFW only, like before and Switch V1 with using or not the RCM that we could choose if we want to use OFW or CFW by the Dongle please ?

I really dont want to miss click something and be banned by Nintendo :(

Well you can use Hekate to boot Stock mode but since you already booted CFW with Atmosphere, you would risk being banned by Nintendo if you went online because traces of CFW can persist even after you turn the console off.

Honestly, if you didn't want to be banned by Nintendo, then you shouldn't have hacked the console. By using CFW and homebrew, you risk getting banned one day.
I'm going to buy a Nintendo Switch so I can jailbreak and of course I'm going to jailbreak it, but is it possible to delete the CFW later and how do you avoid being banned?
You have to make an eMMC backup including BOOT0/BOOT1 which you will have to restore to avoid being banned. Of course, you also have to be offline while using CFW.

Hello everyone. I wonder if anyone knows what is a value of capaticitor on 3.3v line. I damaged it while soldering. After I completely removed it pad still gave me 3.3v, however switch stucked in rcm, and I have no shorts on board XD.

I got my Fake v5 rcm loader in the mail today, on some threads I can see people being able to connect it to their PC and see it as a some kind of storage drive, with my its not showing up at all. I assume that is to be expected?

I'm considering returning it for a refund.

I've dumped boot0 several times and noticed that the SHA256 hash value changes every time I calculate it. When I looked at it in a binary editor, it looked like almost nothing had changed. Is there something like a timestamp that might be included in the hash calculation?
