Basically title. All the info i found was from 2-3 years ago, and idk if HOS performance is pretty much the same, or if Lakka is incredibly better. Thanks in advance 👍

Its not incredibly better, pretty much everything on hos is optimized specifically for hos and is supposed to run better. BUT some stuff runs better in lakka (mostly compatibility wise) and the performance overall is also great (you won't even notice the difference most of the time). Plus the possibility to run a lot of gamecube games. I mostly use lakka when it comes to emulation, i just like that it runs everything i need and i don't need to hop between the OS's to play certain emulators. Imo lakka is worth using and has always been especially when you consider that you don't need to partition/format anything. But at the end the choice whether to use it over hos or not is pretty subjective.

^^^ Completely agree!

@LipefipeFelps it costs you very little sdcard space to try it and find out if it meets your needs. You can share out the roms directory between various emulators so when you have issues w/ one platform you can easily flip over to another and see if it performs any better. Win-win!

Oh, i asked because i thought it would require a separate partition. In this case i can give it a try later 😊 thanks

No sir…copy paste it into you file system. Add the Lakka.ini file so you can tap the Launch icon in Hekate, and away you go! It‘s a neat concept. Enjoy!

Hi bink, i have been trying to get Lakka working but cant.

You stick the folder named Lakka in the root of the SD card right?

I have the ini in the correct folder and get Lakka in the more config options tab in Hekate but when i try and boot it i get the red text that reads 'No mandatory secmon or warmboot provided/ Failed to launch HOS/'

All other setups are working fine, SFW/CFW/Android, its just Lakka, any pointers please?

He didn’t respond but to answer your question yes put the lakka folder on the root of the sd card and other then that put the .ini in the folder he mentioned or if he didn’t mentioned since I’m typing this in one go I’ll check tomorrow if I remember to for you on what place to put the .ini
