.And that still doesn't answer my question of if I'm missing out or not by emulating PS1 in Retroarch vs DuckStation.
Because I can’t. I use Retroarch. It works fine. I’ve never used DuckStation for the Xbox platform therefore I did not answer that question.

Having said that, I do have DuckStation and Retroarch on my Switch. I notice zero difference.

it may still be possible to get duck station on dev mode, but it's no longer even uploaded on retail mode. I don't know of the reasons it was discontinued, but one of the emulator devs was getting death threats for not incorporating certain features. it was either him or the ps2 emulator dev iirc.

Heard there's a way to now use Dolphin Netplay with certain types of files from the Wii. Anyone have a link for the tutorial, would be nice to finally play Gauntlet Dark Legacy with my brother. I also heard Mario Kart is very active.

Duckstation exists on Dev Mode https://xboxdevstore.github.io/

Retail will be returning according to gamr's discord, but it's going to take a while. They wanted to put that out there before it's ready just to stop the misinformation that retail is dead.

Hello all. After MS banning Retroarch in retail mode, I would like to delete the files that Retroarch left in Localcache and Localstate folders in internal storage. How should I do that?

You need a FTP app on Xbox and browse the files on PC if you know where to look. The problem is that the scene folders location and name have been changed many times, so I don't even know where all the leftovers are. Now I have as much as possible on the USB drive, I recommend you the same. You can always do a factory reset in the Xbox menu before activating developer mode and have games and save files on the USB drive.

It's been a while since I've been involved with the Xbox Scene. I wanted to share something super cool with the community. You can now install Retroarch on your Xbox Series S/X or Xbox One on Retail Mode. You DO NOT need a whitelist. And no you will not get banned from Xbox Live. This is great because dev mode is no longer required. With retroarch on Retail Mode games have full access to the hardware and you have all of your games in one place. No longer do you have to switch back and forth when you want to play Xbox Games or Retro Games.

I've linked the video tutorial here so you can give it a watch if you prefer a more in depth guide. All credit goes to Gamr13. This guy is doing the lords work. Basically there are a few steps to getting Retroarch setup in Retail Mode on your Xbox.

1. Open Edge Browser
2. Navigate to https://gamr13.github.io/
3. Once there, click on Retroarch and select "Download App"
4. You will be taken to the Microsoft Store where you can download Retroarch.
5. After Retroarch is finished downloading just configure it, add your games and you're ready to go. Enjoy Retro Gaming on Retail.

That's it. If you have any questions drop them here.

Todavia funciona?
