Ps Vita running version 2.61, how can I backup/restore the software version after updating to 3.74?

So yeah, I just think it looks cool being on 2.61 and I don't want lose it. How can I backup the firmware to use possibly later?

? afaik, there's no way to backup the firmware, but I think modoru can downgrade to any version, down to its base firmware. the vita is like the ps3, where you can downgrade all the way to the base firmware.

You will need a firmware image "PSP2UPDAT.PUP" of this version to be able to recover and stay on it, of instead downgrading with modoru or vitadeploy. At Vita deploy the desired firmware need to be located in specific location.

you can backup the pup, but what's the point really? if your plan is to update to 3.74 or something, you'll have to use modoru to downgrade. installing pup files can be done through qcma. it's one of the folders it creates, where you need to place the pup. I don't think you need to do this anymore though.
