Recently I've received my order from Ali and installed hwfly v5 on my patched erista. However the chip is just constantly pulsing with a blue light for 30+ mins and nothing happens. Does someone have a clue what could be wrong? Is there a way to test if soldering has been successful?

From what I understand of some of the previous posts, you can measure if the soldering was done correct.
Read up on some of the previous post regarding a hwfly installation.

It seems the chip damaged my console somehow. I left it to train for more than 1 hour but in meantime battery ran out. When I turn on the console the screen lights purple now.

Purple screen is kernel panic with the boot loader either can’t read it or it’s corrupted.

99% Related to your soldering job. You need a multimeeter to test for continuity and check for any possible bridges. Ofcourse there's always the possibity you knocked one component off the Board like a resistor. I'd desolder everything and start over again. Check if you Switch works without the chip installed, if so, try again.

I executed the same setup a day before for like an hour without an issue. Nevertheless, I disconnected the chip. Sadly the purple screen is still there.

Ok. The story so far. After I got the purple screen I decided fully remove the hwfly chip but accidentally knocked off the SP1 capacitor... Had to order a new one and solder it. But the purple screen hasn't gone away. Is there a way to check if everything works properly from the hardware perspective? I would appreciate if someone could share what points I should check and what numbers schould be.

Did you compare the board with images online? Maybe you have more components missing.

Ok. In the end, it was just a nand corruption caused by the hwfly chip. Had to rebuild the nand using a donor. :switch:
