SD cards will definitely not replace HDDs lol. HDDs are still far, *far* cheaper than any form of flash storage per gigabyte, not to mention the fact they go over SATA rather than the SD/SPI interface SD cards use.
They also have fake SD cards if you're not careful.
HDDs are more easily fragile and defective than an SD card imo.
eh, that somewhat depends. Going on official ratings (yes I know devices can live past these but still), I've seen SD cards rated for several decades and HDDs rated for only ~7 years. Plus, SD cards are far more resilient to stuff like vibrations and impacts than HDDs
In theory yes, they are for example suppose to survive 10 years without power and data loss.
I disagree, but then again. I always go for long storage drivers so they're a lot slower.
