Hacking Modding Question from someone out of the Scene for a year or so

I began to get the ole' Wii itch (dang, that sounds bad :D ) as the amazing Zelda scores started rolling in. That's when I realized that I hadn't hooked up my Wii for a little over a year. It was modded at the time to the current standard, but I would imagine it is really out of date by now...

Apple Problem Jailbreaking a Previously Tethered JB Itouch

I have had my Ipod Touch 3rd Generation Ipod since it's release. The last jailbreak I used was Geohotz tethered jailbreak that upgraded it to 3.1.2. I haven't bothered trying to update it for over a year because there was nothing I wanted to use that required higher than 3.1.2. However, the...

    Gaming Weird blotches on screen.

Those spots are exactly what happened to my PSP a few months back. I hate to bring more bad news, but despite great care and cleaning, the number of spots grew over a 2 month period - I ended up ordering a replacement LCD from overseas (had to wait forever, but it was the cheapest option). Had...

Gaming Best Way to Upgrade a Phat PSP to latest CFW

Okay, it was late and I was tired I have only tried a few isos and csos. However, the ones that run on a m33 system still work, but those that say patched for GEN do not (such as Klown's). My question is how should I go about attempting to upgrade again? Is there an all in one style...

Gaming Best Way to Upgrade a Phat PSP to latest CFW

I have an extra Phat PSP (original - bought on launch night original LOL). I put it to the side when I got my PSP-2000. However, a few months ago, I tried to upgrade from M33 to 5.50GEN-D(Full). I followed the instructions and everything seemed to work fine. The system info even lists the...

Gaming Reflashing CFW on PSP Phat

Recovery Flasher link worked perfectly. 5.50GEND3 took me to a NDS 3DS announcement LOL ... don't worry, I will own one of those as soon as its available. LOL. Is there another link for the 5.50GEND3?

Gaming Reflashing CFW on PSP Phat

This is going to sound extremely lazy, but where is the best place to download that? A link would be worth a thousand thank-yous.

Gaming Reflashing CFW on PSP Phat

I tried a few weeks ago to upgrade my original PSP Phat (one of the launch systems) from its 5.00 M33-3 firmware to GEN-C. Everything seemed to go okay - the firmware was even labeled GEN-C in the system info. However, the machine will not play any GEN patched isos. However, it still plays...

Gaming Black Spots (Not Dead Pixels) on PSP 2000 Screen

Thanks, but the spots have been there over 2 weeks so I doubt they are going anywhere. Could someone please tell me: A. Will a PSP-3000 LCD work in a PSP-2000? B. What model of LCD do I need to order to go in my PSP-2000?

Gaming Black Spots (Not Dead Pixels) on PSP 2000 Screen

Well, I finally had the time to open the PSP up and it's not dirt ... at least not dirt/dust I can easily get to. Had a friend of mine who work with LCDs (most TVs) and he seems to think the spots are either A.) dust on the backlight or B.) small pressure damage points to the LCD itself...

Gaming Black Spots (Not Dead Pixels) on PSP 2000 Screen

No rainbow effect (although the spots appear to be "lit" when I look at the screen from an extreme side angle - don't know how to describe it, the spots just seem to be brighter than the screen around them) and I gave it a good shake and no image distortion or rainbow effect.

Gaming Black Spots (Not Dead Pixels) on PSP 2000 Screen

Rydian, if it was just dirt, between the two screens, can it be cleaned? If so, what's the best course of action? Truth be told, it probably shouldn't bother me so much ... but it does. No logic to it.
