  • With the excitement of the developments in the Switch 2 scene and such a long window to attempt a jailbreak, it sucks I'm really not in a position to have a go at it myself. I don't doubt there will be new discoveries for newer firmware at some point, but how long it takes to get there is anyone's guess... and if the discovery of a tethered exploit is really true, it may just be a once in a lifetime opportunity.

It's still a joy to follow the scene. The PS5 scene went absolutely bonkers with the latest exploit, and a whole slew of various emulators released among other things, but the Switch 2 scene is shattering all expectations and moving so fast I can hardly concentrate on anything else happening around me!

Maybe someday. Just not today. DK's large bananas and the remake with puppet Link shall wait.

Can't decide between claymation Zelda and crocheted Zelda but one of them needs to be made ASAP.

Fun bonus, this time for those who like to disable/block embeds!

Here's another userscript, this time to replace embeds with links to source URLs (or embed URLs if the site is unimplemented).

It would be really funny if there's already a way to disable embeds I wasn't aware of!

That isn't an embed... it's an image

Think of "embed" (in this scenario) as YouTube, Twitter, etc. URLs in posts that automatically show the video/post on the page

Ahh, but it is "Embedded". The block was "embedded" and then what I posted was "EMBEDDED" onto this post. :teach:

    EDIT: Superseded by UserScript

With Shitter being, well, shit, not letting logged-out users do much and actively blocking mirrors like Nitter, I found a way to make the web version a bit less so with uBO rules:

    Code:
    ||*engagement*$script,domain=x.com,important
    ||*engagement*$script,domain=twitter.com,important

Some profile tabs like Replies still require a login, and expanding images redirects to the post rather than doing what it's supposed to (at least that should be easy to tackle). However, you are no longer treated like a child and can click a few more links (e.g. replies, profiles, etc.) which is a big improvement, even if usage limits likely give you about a minute worth of browsing.

I generally don't make donations for reasons, but intend to correct that long term with better income. Considering I block ads indiscriminately for privacy reasons and their distractive nature, of course it's against my interest for the site to become more reliant on more extreme ads in a death spiral. So, I hope my contribution helps and encourages others to consider donating as well. Cheers guys.

As an aside, I avoid auto-recurring subscriptions like a plague, but luckily there are manual 3 month and 1 year variants on the upgrades page, albeit the lower tier isn't available this way.
    Sponsored posts away (uBlock Origin):

    Code:
    gbatemp.net##li.full.news_item:has(.hideSponsoredPost)

Even if there are referral links contained within, I know I'm never going to click them, so I don't see an issue hiding this. I'm obliged to imply that using this is at your own (cough) moral discretion.
It's not really finished yet, but I made a new UserScript that helps with recurring My Nintendo missions:

    https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/589901-my-nintendo-mission-helper

Yes, I'm addicted to Platinum Points! And since I didn't want to be, I thought it'd help if I made this to make it less tempting to always check manually. Still not automated, my goal is to avoid any additional requests to appear as a completely normal user, in case odd requests ever get scrutinised

After a bit of datamining/reverse-engineering minified JS code, I found that it might be possible to get status of the annoying, randomly (?) timed missions directly, which would really make this project whole!

Also worth noting is that while dates are displayed in history page, the exact timestamp (in seconds) is given by API. I don't know if it's feasible to make a UserScript that notifies in the background, but... who knows!
I just observed some sketchy marketing practices from Nintendo.

Here's a few items I viewed a few weeks ago, as displayed on Nintendo Store (US):

...except I logged out and cleared cookies many times in the meantime:

I ruled out fingerprinting as I remembered that I logged in to My Nintendo earlier today for free Platinum Coins, but the problem is that I logged out and haven't viewed those items today. (I re-tested and these items don't appear in a fresh private session.)

Like, seriously? They're incorporating marketing tactics used by broke and desperate companies. Is it really so important to try and squeeze every last cent that you have to track users even after logging out? :glare:

It could be that A. Their tracking is confusing you with someone or something else because it doesn't account for your security, or B. These are just items a lot of people are looking at, the title "Recently Viewed" is vague.

No, these are specifically items I viewed and it used cookies left over after logging out to determine it was me. I realise my writing wasn't fully understandable >~>
    Sergals or Protogens?

Not really the same thing at all.
But I'll pick protogen all day because they're fluffier.

Gee thanks Nintendo, you really had to put a Zelda-type endurance dungeon at the end of a wholesome puzzle game?? :nayps3:

Fumbled in my first attempt, considering giving up because I feel like this will take me months to complete. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I wish this had a happy or neutral ending that nothing happened in the end, but whilst playing, I noticed that from a distance of 1m, I was having intermittent signal issues. I'd be very disappointed if I had to replace the GamePad WiFi board on either the main unit or GamePad, and have to figure out which one of them is causing problems...
I added some of the BUTTONS I had on my home page to my signature, enjoy some visual cacophony ^_^
    PS Vita

    - NFS: Most Wanted (2012) port has ultra low quality music (even audible through its stock speakers)
    - PS Vita has music player
    - NFSMW'12 has music player support

 Gee, I wonder what I could do with that!

Music Player support as in it gives you access to ux0:/music in-game? If not, there's alwaysElevenMPV and MusicPremium
