2. Copy the_homebrew_channel-1.0.1 “boot.dol” to the root of the SD card
3. Copy the hack from the SD card over to the system menu
4. Run Zelda. Talk to the nearby man to initiate the install of the homebrew channel.

Firmware 3.4
1. Extract twilight-hack-v0.1-beta2.zip to the SD card
2. Copy the_homebrew_channel-1.0.1 “boot.dol” to the root of the SD card
3. Copy the hack from the SD card over to the system menu

Firmware 3.1 or earlier:

Installing 4.0 firmware:
1. Launch the Homebrew Channel, select the cIOS36 rev10 installer

Only required if you intend on using GC backups:

Installing the USB loader channel forwarder:

HDD Forwarder.wad channel (you need to place the USB loader boot.dol in apps/USBLoader)

OR

Installing the USB loader channel:
1. Launch the Homebrew Channel and select Wadmanager and install the
USB_Loader_Channel-v1.1_wii-ish-rev2.wad channel.

Optional:
Installing the MediaPlayer CE channel:
1. Launch the Homebrew Channel and select Wadmanager and install the
MPlayer CE-MPCE_channel.wad
(you need to place the MPCE boot.dol in apps/ mplayer_ce)

The last four points (from install 4.0 to install GC channel) are optional
and you can choose to install other wads
Also you dont have to move the whole private folder, the save is enough

you can find the files on hbc.hackmii.com and google (and gbatemp)

nice guide you should add an optional install for preloader v.29 and cIOScorps for brick protection and disc channel loading but otherwise its pretty good

Is the CIOSCorp contained within SoftMii 2.1.1 fine to use with this then? Or is there a newer version?

There is a newer version from CIOSCorp, being version 2. You can find it within the latest MiiWii installation pack.

QUOTE(erolz @ Apr 2 2009, 03:17 PM) that will do fine

Seems like I got my confirmation for CIOSCorp on 4.0 much sooner.

preloader v.29 only works on firmware 4.0
also for cIOScorp to work on 4.0 you need to install CIOS60BF.wad

There is an error in the TuT.
On 3.3V2 and 3.4 you cant just install the cIOS.
It is blocked (error ret -2011 i think).
You need to install the IOS16 first and then a cIOS Wad with the custom Wad Manager.

any comments? how to ugrade from a 3.1 system?
Update to 3.4 or 3.3 (using disc updates), then downgrade to 3.2
or use the any region changer

QUOTE(mark.m.moran @ Apr 6 2009, 09:38 AM) Hi guys,
Where can I get all the needed files? Is there a pack somewhere I can download?

Cheers,
Mark
Twilight hack and homebrew channel on http://hbc.hackmii.com
Some others on http://wiibrew.org
And the rest has to bee googled

@tj_cool,
Thanx for that mate. I already have the HBC installed and Gamma too.

To get USB loader up and running what would I need to do? Just a bit confused about which cIOS I need to install and all that. I am running 3.2E currently. Would I be best to go ahead and do the safe update to 4.0 as outlined about?

Cheers,
Mark

Install the newest cIOS36rev9 first
That should enable the USB loader to work
And it is needed for the safe update too
