ios16 is in the 1.31 disc (october 23rd update fix) = scrub it out yourself.

wadman 1.3 and custom wadman are all you need to do all of this = google.

I agree that a nice update is needed

Im on v3.4e. I have got the homebrew channel installed now,

A list of the IOS XX's and cIOS XX's and the apps in install orders would be lovely

Also, do I need to install IOS16 and would I need to upgrade to v4 to use large hard drive USB support?

Thanks

ok. so the right way for a 3.3v2 and 3.4 system is this?

Firmware 3.3, 3.3v2v2 or 3.4
1. Extract twilight-hack-v0.1-beta1.zip to the SD card
2. Copy the_homebrew_channel-1.0.1 “boot.dol” to the root of the SD card
3. Copy the hack from the SD card over to the system menu
4. Run Zelda. Talk to the nearby man to initiate the install of the homebrew channel.

Installing 4.0 firmware:
1. Launch the Homebrew Channel, select the IOS16 installer ??? (were can i find this file or wad?)
2. Launch the Homebrew Channel, select custom Wad Manager and install ???? what

3. Launch the Homebrew Channel, select the the MIOS Patcher and press X on the Gamecube controller before installing the patch, then GCN backups will boot through Gamma Loader channels.
4. Launch the Homebrew Channel and run the 4.0 Updater
5. Launch the Homebrew Channel and run the IOS60 updater
-say NO to install IOS61
-say YES to install IOS60
-say YES to patch IOS60
-say NO to install the shop channel

Ok, after plenty of research I'm getting towards this list now;

Firmware 3.3, 3.3v2v2 or 3.4
1. Extract twilight-hack-v0.1-beta1.zip to the SD card
2. Copy the_homebrew_channel-1.0.1 boot.dol to the root of the SD card
3. Copy the hack from the SD card over to the system menu
4. Run Zelda. Talk to the nearby man to initiate the install of the homebrew channel.

Required to allow Wads to be installed after Oct 2008 fix:
5. Launch the Homebrew Channel, select the IOS16 installer
6. Launch the Homebrew Channel, select custom Wad Manager and install cIOS Fixer

Only required if I intend on using GC backups:
7. Launch the Homebrew Channel, select the the MIOS Patcher and press X on the Gamecube controller before installing the patch, then GCN backups will boot through Gamma Loader channels.

Installing 4.0 firmware:
8. Launch the Homebrew Channel, select the cIOS36 rev9 installer
(optional offline installation with IOS36-64-v1042.wad in the root of the SD card)
9. Launch the Homebrew Channel and run the 4.0 Updater
10. Launch the Homebrew Channel and run the IOS60 updater
-say NO to install IOS61
-say YES to install IOS60
-say YES to patch IOS60
-say NO to install the shop channel

Installing the USB loader channel:
11. Launch the Homebrew Channel and select Wadmanager and install the
USB_Loader_Channel-v1.1_wii-ish.wad channel.

I don't understand the part with cios36 rev9, I'm on 3.3E and am about installing it in offline mode, should I just execute it with wad manager or do something with IOS36-64-v1042.wad ?

Now completed the following steps and all is well. I guess I need to install the v4 updater for the wad & channels to run from SD card. Just need to install the USB Loader too.

Firmware 3.3v2 or 3.4

8. Launch the Homebrew Channel, select the cIOS36 rev9 installer
(optional offline installation with IOS36-64-v1042.wad in the root of the SD card)

U run cios36 with WM and select Wad Installation on the screen. Make sure you have IOS36 in the root of your SD card. cIOS will use IOS36 during the install.

edited the guide.
comments please?
should i first install cIOS36 rev9 before cIOS36 rev10?

Thanks to the OP.

I installed IOSDowngrader successfully.. after that, I tried to install AnyRegionChanger (3 times).. made sure I am selecting all the right options.. however when it tries to install the first step.. here is what I can see..

It downloads & probably Installs TMD alright however, as soon as it tries to download Title, it just gets stuck there and shows garbled (unreadable) characters. I have to power off and restart.. I have validated.. everything is working as expected.. (burned dvd's games do not play however).

Please Help!!! How should I get past installing AnyRegion...

Thanks,

It downloads TMD and then gets stuck while doing it for Title... the heading of the title is : Downloading Title 1-35 V1040
