This would be the re-release of the original gamecube title ported to the Wii and featuring Wii controls. There are multiple GCN games receiving this treatment (Donkey Kong Jungle Beat already has).

I am perfectly fine with Nintendo releasing GCN games on the Wii, but come on why not both Pikmin games on one disc? Oh that's right so they can milk people again a second time. Anybody knows how much these re releases are going for over there?

Play-Asia is selling it for $40, which is actually considerably cheaper then I see a lot of games going for. Most Wii games I see are in the range of $50-75 (more popular games, like Bleach, hit the higher end of the price spectrum).

I tried playing the original GC Pikmin games on my Wii, but my GC memory card doesn't have much space for save games, so a native Wii version would be very nice.

Im used to Pikmin for the GC.

Could you play the Wii version with a GC controller?
I believe you cannot. Not too sure though. They didnt let you use the GCN controls in the Donkey Kong game.

Because of the fact that this is a rerelease I think that's pathetic! Shame on you Nintendo.

(off course it's all about marketing, just to see how this will turn out in Japanland, if people don't buy it they will never release it outside JP)

EDIT: Oh, by the way, I did just play DK Jungle Beat, and that I loved even better than with the Bongos, for a while that was fun, but with the Nunchuck it plays better
