This is how I got it working. To get it working on the DSTT you can download this Firmware.

Files you need

1.) YSMenu0903270000
Yasu doesn't want people to download his YSMenu anywhere except his Site. CTRL+F "EZ3in1+ NOR" without the quote marks.

2.) MoonShell 2.06 Stable
You can download this here.

3.) DLDI
You can get this from Chism's Website.

4.) linoul's YSloader for MoonShell 2
This is a plugin for Moonshell2 which lets you boot ROMs through moonshell2, created by linoul from GBAtemp.
You can get this here.

5.) r4denc
You get this here.

6.) R4ysauto
You can get this here.

Installing it

NOTE

I got the information from another thread but it was scattered throughout the posts, so I made a step by step on how to get it working since some people had trouble working it. I didn't make any of the files I linked to either.

This will only work on the (U) version of the ROM.

I only tested this on the original R4 (R4 Revolution) so I can't confirm it working on clones.

1.) Extract the Moonshell package to you're desktop. Run the setup tool & intstall it your Micro SD. Run the Language Select tool in the package to make Moonshell English.

2.) DLDI patch "moonshl2_DirectBoot.nds" with the R4 DLDI data.

3.) Extract the "nds.YSloaderForMS2.nds" and "config.ini" files from linoul's package to the /moonshl2/extlink folder. DLDI patch "nds.YSoaderForMS2.nds".

4.) Extract the files of the r4denc package on your desktop.

5.) Cut your R4 DLDI patched "moonshl2_DirectBoot.nds" from the root of your MicroSD to the r4denc directory.

6.) Drag moonshl2_DirectBoot.nds over r4enc.exe. This will produce a file called "moonshl2.nds.DAT".

7.) Rename "moonshl2_DirectBoot.nds.DAT" into "_DS_MENU.DAT".

8.) Copy _DS_MENU.DAT to the root of your card and replace your offcial R4 firmware.

9.) Create a new directory on your desktop called "r4ysauto" without the quote marks.

10. Extract the contents of the r4ysauto package you downloaded into this directory.

12.) Copy the YSMenu0903270000.zip you downloaded into the "r4ysauto" directory.

13.) Run r4config.bat and answer the questions with these answers,

Code:
Language: EN
Flashcart: R4
Overwrite: Yes
Skin: No
YSMenu Language: EN
Ways To Install YSMenu: 4
Automatic Updates: Off

14.) Run r4.bat. This will produce "R4_custom_English.zip".

15.) Extract the files of this archive into the root of your card.

16.) Create a new directory called "ysmenu" at the root of your card.

17.) Move the YSMenu.nds you extracted from the R4_custom_English archive into the ysmenu directory.

18.) DLDI-patch YSMenu.nds.

19.) Copy and paste the Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story ROM onto the cart.

20.) Remove the MicroSD from the PC and put it in the R4.

21.) Boot up the game obvioulsy.

22.) Due to a bug you can't launch homebrew through YSMenu. You can fix this by downloading this file and placing it in the TTMenu directory.

And how does one do this?

EDIT: Oh nevermind, I found the DLDI patching tool on the website where I downloaded the R4 DLDI file.

EDIT2: Well this seems to work, so thanks for that, but one thing: Whenever I boot my R4, it's got some MoonShell ver 2.03 stable screen on it with all Japanese writing and some check boxes. Do any of those mean "don't show this message you can't understand again?"

Hey thanks for the firmware, somehow missed the 145 pg. thread on the DSTT forum which I've been checking every day

Now I'm laughing at all the R4 and DSTT users that went out and bought a brand new flashcart just to play this

Sometimes it doesn't download properly from the site, so just re-download it and then try extracting it.

You don't need to DLDI patch. R4YSauto does that for you. You can just extract R4_custom_English.zip to your SD card and YSMenu will work. The other steps are optional, you only need to use them if you want to use Moonshell 2.

I like the Moonshell2 firmware better so I posted it and thanks for creating R4ysauto.

Why did my flash cart end up in Japanese? I know I did this so that it'd run in English...
If Moonshell2 is the firmware of your flashcart, you can change it with the LanguageSelect.nds that came with the Moonshell2 package.
