Hacking DealExtreme responds to me about the fake DSTT

They want me to return my DSTT for replacement and shipping cost reimbursement.

Apologies for the item being defective. Please mail your item to our USA Defective Product Drop Box via the cheapest way with tracking number (address below).

Before you mail, send us the total expected shipping cost so that we can record and process a return shipping reimbursement for you. Then, e-mail us your tracking number and the actual postage spent. Upon the delivery of the returned package, a replacement unit and the return shipping reimbursement will be sent to you.

Did everybody else who complained get the same message?

Interesting. It's not really defective though, so I wonder if they misunderstood. If they think it's defective, they might just send you another clone!

Don't get a replacement...just get another card.

Edit: Oh and make sure you talk in VERY SIMPLE LANGUAGE to them.

Yeah, you might as well get an Acekard 2 or Edge if they'll let you exchange it for something else. I'm guessing they don't have any real DSTT's in stock anyway, but that AK2 and Edge are both better carts.

I think they misunderstoord
Look for Chinese it might be a bit harder to understand why you want your money back because it's a fake
Because in China everything is fake, and they life with it as long as it works

I recommend the Acekard because I don't there are any problems with the new batch. Or if you don't want to risk it, get the EDGE.

After checking with our stuff who orders the item from the supplier,the card is genuine.Please don't worry about that.

Is that for real? Did you link them to the GBAtemp topic with the photographs of real and fake DSTTs? Something is not right at DealExtreme... Did anybody else who complained to DX also get responses?

In the U.S. we often put random characters like that to represent profanity. Or did you add that in place of your real name?

i added the @!%#$% to replace my name lol

i did link them to the gbatemp thread with the pictures of the fake.. and i send a pic with my dstt that shows the gold dot.

but who knows if they read it or not..

like i said .. im done with DX.. and everyone here should be too..

it's not worth it to save a few bucks and get a fake and then get bullshit customer service

It sounds as though DX is saying that they checked with their suppliers and indeed the carts they sold are real DSTT's and not clones. Is it possible that they are correct, that the carts they sold aren't fake?

So far, I haven't been able to find the source of the information in that other thread on the ndstt site. Is it possible that that other thread is mistaken, and they're not actually fake?

Also, it sounds as though the descriptions given by people who received them may not precisely match the description of the fakes on the other thread. So maybe the ones sold by DX are real DSTT's after all.

Wow, that is pretty convoluted!

So are we to believe that ndstt.com is the group that was manufacturing the "old" DSTT (the one without the dot) given that the notice about the fake appeared on that site? If so, can we then assume that ndstt.com will no longer be operational after the old inventory has sold out? I wonder if the new manufacturer will set up a new site or maybe take over the ndstt.com site.

Or is the "new" manufacturer Team Neo (a.k.a. TTDS)? Team Neo has never done a very good job supporting their version of the cart (their firmware is still stuck at 1.08), so if that's the case we can pretty much expect an end to updates for the DSTT.

btw , there is still announce on dstt official site of fake dstt, what official dstt team say on their forum? anyone knows?
and as my supplier told me there are fake dstt around, infact original dstt cost more

The information posted by me is from the team that send me sample DSTT before it release public long long time ago, and they always provide me new firmware befiore their website released.
