I tried to connect an unofficial dock with the switch and it throws a message that I must use the original charger, is there any way to use it since my switch is hacked?

Really? Why is that?

You can't use a third party dock since firmware 5.0.0 without bricking, you can use one if you want but high chance you will brick the switch, because only the official dock understand what voltage the switch is asking, when third party dock supply the wrong voltage you brick the switch

Afak, to minimize the risk of the console being brick by a thrid party dock, you should use the original charger.
Is this correct or it's just a placebo effect?

placebo effect lol, well only the official dock understand what voltage the switch is asking for when switching between handheld and dock mode, when the wrong voltage is supply that why people brick.

Use a third party dock and you brick the switch simple as that.
that was several years ago what some docks send a invalid update to the console bricking a chip on the board requiring a new console, but that was solved on docks years ago. as far I know. even the video is for 4 years ago.

I mean I still won't use a third party dock, I mean if someone wants a smaller dock they can just do the shell replacement, use an offficial dock or a 300 dollars paper weight.

OK, so according what I've search on the specs of the OEM dock and charger, and afak I understand, it depends on the dock having a PD controller since the charger doesn't have a 9 volt mode and it depends on it to match voltage.
If a third party dock had a PD controller programmed to match Nintendo specs, it should work flawless.

The issue here is that only the official dock understand what voltage the switch is asking for, supply the wrong voltage bricked switch.

That's why using a well programmed PD controller should mitigate the issue, since that's what "understands" the voltage and what wouldn't permit the dock to send the wrong voltage.

If only people can figure it out already then people can use third party dock.

Well, it was discovered around 3 years ago, so then I have good news for you...
According to people on Reddit and YouTube, the Skull n' Co. dock uses a PD controller, and many more have been spoted using one in the couple of last year, so... yeah, maybe some third party docks are safe now.
I say maybe 'cause it's OK to always maintain some scepticism.

I been skeptical about that Jumpgate dock lol

I've read that also. That was a weird situation which is what @impeeza mentioned, that the docks sent a wrong update that bricked the console.
But there're more according to Reddit: Genki convert dock, the Insignia (Rocketfish) one, Brook Power Bay one.

yes 4 or 5 years ago, the "unofficial" implementation of PD protocol of nintendo Switch was no so wide know for the third party manufacturers and with the firmware 5 of console the problem become more dangerous and so many consoles get physically damaged. since then the third party manufacturers are become aware of the errors of nintendo and make new "safer" products, really do not exist the failure proof dock because even the official one could break a console, the new firmware put in place some fail-safe measures to avoid that.

this isn't the reality of it. the thing that bricks it which most people do not understand is that the cord used on most third party docks is a cheap cord without a resistor to regulate power which is what kills the system
