If it's a system firmware update, then it's possible, but you do need access to the BD-JB exploit so burning a Blu-Ray is needed. Do the usual steps of disabling automatic downloads/installs of updates in the settings if not done already, then follow the video below. The actual blocking of updates is around 5 minutes in. Keep in mind that the block is not permanent. This process will eventually get moved to being a single payload that you run, but for now this is how you do it. (This also should be possible with the webkit exploit once an FTP payload is created for that)
From what is being said in the PS5 research & development Discord server, that might not be needed. Seems a FTP payload is being created for the webkit exploit and might be ready soon. If you can wait, it might be ready in a few days. Also doesn't hurt to have more options for exploitation so if you still want to do it the BD-JB method, nothing stopping you.Exactly what I needed thank you! Off to buy a blu ray burner![]()
I noticed that right after I bought the burner, but I'll keep it just in caseFrom what is being said in the PS5 research & development Discord server, that might not be needed.
