I'm on 4.03 and need to delete the update that's trying to install every boot. Is that possible or should I factory reset?

you can't delete it in upload/download? I've never really tried doing that, but if that doesn't work, maybe try going into the update folder manually through ftp and deleting what you find. you can apparently block updates in there, but it will undo itself after a shut off or a kp. in fact, my power went out about thirty minutes to an hour ago, so I have to redo the exploit on my ps4, and I lost about 10 minutes in berseria on the ps5. not too big a deal, but I also don't care if my ps5 updates, just so long as it doesn't while in rest mode.

If it's a system firmware update, then it's possible, but you do need access to the BD-JB exploit so burning a Blu-Ray is needed. Do the usual steps of disabling automatic downloads/installs of updates in the settings if not done already, then follow the video below. The actual blocking of updates is around 5 minutes in. Keep in mind that the block is not permanent. This process will eventually get moved to being a single payload that you run, but for now this is how you do it. (This also should be possible with the webkit exploit once an FTP payload is created for that)

From what is being said in the PS5 research & development Discord server, that might not be needed. Seems a FTP payload is being created for the webkit exploit and might be ready soon. If you can wait, it might be ready in a few days. Also doesn't hurt to have more options for exploitation so if you still want to do it the BD-JB method, nothing stopping you.

I noticed that right after I bought the burner, but I'll keep it just in case;)
