Sorry just one more question. When the rentry guide says to put you SD card back into your PC and move back any previously deleted files into your SD card, does that mean I should extract and replace the Amostphere, sigpatches, and hakate zips into my SD card?

Correct to replace outdated files.

I just hacked my switch after following the rentry guide and was wondering if I can change the DNS MITM default.txt to emummc.txt after I already finished hacking.

Thanks to any replies.

Sure can switch it around…then, after a reboot, it will only apply blocking only to your emunand (and not your Sysnand….although Sysnand will still get a new default.txt that’s generated automatically that will block telemetry/logging but will not block the rest of Ninty services)

my switch is asking for me to install a system update but i`m running atmosphere (1.3.2) and CFW (14.1)
my first safe answer was to just deny the update every time and continue playing but should I worry about this?

Does that mean I've dirtied my sysnand and could get banned?

Not at all. You are just being more specific with your dns:mitm. It’s not even put into play unless you boot CFW on Sysnand. Even if you run CFW on Sysnand it’s meant to be used that way by design and many folks run Atmosphere on Sysnand without issues. Piracy and Cheating are what get you in trouble.

Hopefully it’s not complaining about firmware because that would mean your switch is talking to Ninty. If it is, the latest FW is 14.1.2. I heard you can update your CFW by downloading the firmware from that Darth Sternie Firmware site. Then you can use daybreak.nro (comes with Atmosphere, your CFW, by default.)

https://rentry.org/UpgradeDowngrade

if you’re not blocking Ninty using exosphere and dns:mitm, here’s how to set them up:

https://rentry.org/ExosphereDNSMITM

More than likely you are seeing a game update though. You can continue to ignore it and start game anyway or download the update from your favorite jolly rancher and update it to make the warning go away.

I found some help on a discord server.

basically entered maintenance mode to clear the update cache and then i`ve set up DNS:mitm following that same link.

it seems everything is working fine now

thanks

I can't play tunic, always crashing,I guess I need to update sigpatches, atmosphere etc?But the think way i don't know to update it,Last time I did it my switch didn't now function that well haha,I hope someone can help me thanks

Hwfly v4 OLED issues: So after almost a year, finally got a new OLED modded....and it isn't working. 😓
The installer is experienced w mariko and lite mod installs, but this was their first OLED, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised it's not working. They still have it and I need more details of the error. Basically, they were just doing the chip install. (No software/SD card to test with)

So there is no SD card in there at the moment, and the chip is flashing yellow and screen stays black with no image when powered on. His guess is the chip is bad or maybe it bricked the mobo, but wouldn't that be extremely unlikely to actually brick? He said he checked all solder points multiple times but didn't check or wasn't able to tell me diode readings at this time. Does flashing yellow usually indicate a bad dat0 connection or?? Installer said they would try to get diode readings before I pick it up, but may not have time. I have an SD card ready with Hekate/atmosphere files on it, but seems like that won't help w the current situation.

I don't have any solder tools but could try hooking up the USB cable to the chip and maybe updating it or seeing what putty says? The ali seller page said this chip is updated spacecraft for OLED (when that early spacecraft voltage config was an issue, and no need to reflash/update. (But I got this months ago)
Or before taking to another shop with micro soldering station, I could get a multimeter and check whatever the recommended diode readings are? Anyone know what I should be checking without seeing a video of the yellow flashing? (When I get it back I can upload something) Thanks!

I decided to add emmnu on my switch and I ended up getting this error when I tired to enter into the homebrew menu.

Searched the web and tried to fix it and failed miserably.

Does it play for a little bit or crash right away?

Here‘s how to easily upgrade your Switch:

https://rentry.org/UpdateCFWAndFW
(if you want to skip the part about dumping Firmware, you can find it on that Darth Sternie Firmware site.)

You didn’t delete Themes like you should before an upgrade.

Delete your /atmosphere/contents/0100000000001000 directory and reboot.

Yeah I thought I deleted the theme before but I guess I didn't do it properly.

Also I deleted that eariler since that's what I found online. But it still did the samething guess cause I didn't reboot. I'll try it again once I'm back home. Thanks for the help.

Yeah I just checked I deleted that folder but I'm still getting that error. I double checked and I did reboot.

Download a fresh copy of hbmenu.nro fro here. https://github.com/switchbrew/nx-hbmenu/releases

Delete your current hbmenu.nro (should be at the root of your SDCard) and replace it with the one in the zip file and see if that fixes things.

My dumb self that's what it was (it was missing) thanks again.
One last question so if I put PokeMon Diamond on emnunad can I still use JKSV to save it and transfer the save file to my PC to use PKHex to edit it? Also if I buy the copy of it sometime down the road will I be able to use that save file on the sysnad? Also is the little cloud supposed to show up on the games that I own on the emnunad part? That's if I go on top of the game it shows that and if I click on it says download update.

Hi, is there any homebrew app to send files from Switch to a phone wirelessly? For example, I would like to extract save files with Jksv and send them over a bluetooth to my phone.

Unsure about bluetooth, but you could try with ftp. If both the Switch and the phone are on the same network, of course. The homebrew is called ftpd. I never tried it, but setting up an ftp server and client is easy. Ftp is slow, so don't try with big files, but saves should be just fine.
