I lost my sd card over a year ago after accidentally updating my ds and getting the ARM11 error screen and until now I have been able to buy a new one. Can I still fix the error screen or is it a lost cause?

if you dont have the sd card. its lost till you can get luma back up and running with the most recent one to pass the error with. aswell as updating the ctrnand one to prevent this from happening again if you lose the sd again.
Yes. Get an sd card and do this. Do the steps from the Finalizing Setup page too to get all the homebrew apps back..
