Hello everybody
I am new and I am writing this post because I have big troubles with NSP Switch games. I cannot launch them and error message is always related to sigpatches. I was able to launch CFW and also play some games, but most of them I cannot run.
I write you down my Switch configuration, but is a regular one.
Switch firwmare version: 13.2.1
Atmosphere firmware version: 1.2.6
Hetake firmware version: 5.7.0
I run, first, Hetake and from it I execute payload.bin to enter into Atmosphere. Once there, I use Goldleaf to install NSP games. Here, some games (few) I was able to install them, but most of them I cannot install and error message is alwasy about sigpatches.
I cannot understand how to fix it, because I tried everything. Changing Switch firwmare, aligning also Atmosphere firmware and with it also releted sigpatches. I tried to download them from many site, also using the ones suggested in this forum, but nothing.
If someone could write me down, step by step, what I have to do to have my games install it would be very nice
Thanks a lot

Since you posted how to migrate to an upgraded CFW, I started from my SD card and followed step by step the guide you told me. No difference, same old problems
Error 2002-4517 (0x23a02)
Module file system (2)
Description NCA invalid (it could be for a newer firmware or you do not have enabled sigpatches) (4517)
Could anyone tell me how to solve?
Thank you

as already told you in previous post:
Switch firwmare version: 13.2.1
Atmosphere firmware version: 1.2.6
Hetake firmware version: 5.7.0
once upgraded with your link, the versions were also newer
I tried the sw you linked, against SD card I have always used to run games, here you are the results:
Warning: Only 22310 of 29567 MByte tested.
Test finished without errors.
You can now delete the test files *.h2w or verify them again.
Writing speed: 19.4 MByte/s
Reading speed: 82.5 MByte/s
H2testw v1.4
Can you please exactly tell me which guide I have to follow like a monkey to have my Switch perfectly works? A guide that everyone follwed and no problems arisen with all games perfectly working?

Thank you very much.

hello everyone

yesterday I tried and I tried again. I followed step by step all guides posted in Switch Hacking Is Easy thread. Everything worked perfectly, but, once again, I was not able to transfer NSP on my Switch. I tried all installer you suggested. Tinfoil (latest release) does not even work (there are lots of post that pointed it out) and using Tinleaf, Awoo installer, etc I always get this error:

INVALID NCA MAGIC

I guess the problem is in files: patches.ini and hekate_ipl.ini

Into patches.ini I can see section related to Atmosphere version 1.3.2 but nothing related to HOS 13.2.1 (13.1.0 is the newer, and then jump to 14.0.0)

hekate_ipl.ini is big doubt. The one you posted in your guide is definitivly wrong. I found two differents from a youtube video (Switch tutorial - Fix nca errors and "failed to install" errors with backups / games not installing) and from a zip package in your forum (Hekate+AMS-package3-sigpatches-1.1.1-cfw-13.0.0.zip). But they did not work. Maybe because I do not have the correct HOS. Have I to update to 14?
Could you please post the correct hekate_ipl.ini file.

My current configuration
Switch firwmare version: 13.2.1
Atmosphere firmware version: 1.3.2
Hetake firmware version: 5.8.0

"Many many many folks have gone through this guide successfully, ending up with all games working perfectly" -> I know, I know. That's why I so disappointed...

Upgraded to 14.0.0
Nothing changed...
Awoo installer tells not to launch it from Gallery, instead press R and click on one installed game (because Applet mode cannot properly work): I do not guess this is the problem, anyway I do have no games installed, so...
Now, I can only wait for you to solve this problem...I do not have any ideas...
Thank you

First at all MAKE A SYSNAND backup (you can use Hekate for that). then if you are using atmosphére, update on the next order:
  • remove any theme you have installed
  • turn off switch and put your SD on your PC or use Hekate UMS.
  • update hekate FROM GITHUB
  • update atmosphére FROM GITHUB, and if needed edit hekate_ipl.ini (fuse-secondary.bin file now is called package3)
  • update your payload injector to latest Hekate bin file.
  • make a copy of the SDMC:/atmosphere/contents folder on your PC and delete it from SD.
  • update your sigpatches. you can use the ones here on gbatemp (https://gbatemp.net/threads/sigpatches-for-atmosphere-hekate-fss0-fusee-package3.571543/) or github (itotaljustice)
  • Install THE LATEST VERSION (from github) OF any sysmodule you use, Tesla, Mission Control, ftp-light, emuiibo, etc.
  • Update any homebrew, if you use themes you need at least update nx-themeinstaller.
  • Copy the latest firmware you want to update to sd card, now you can go to 14.1.2 without problems.
  • Put your sd card on your Switch (if not there yet) turn on and use DAYBREAK to upgrade your switch.
  • reboot
  • reinstall your themes
  • test all your homebrew and update if needed.
  • reinstall any MODs and cheats for any game you use.

Hello
Everything you suggested me, it has been already performed before my last attempt. I started from a blank fat32 64gb SD card and put in it just the necessary stuff. No more. The only thing is ofw: I strongly believe nothing will change upgrading to 14.1.2 since nothing happened upgrading from 13...
There must be something else.
What I cannot understand is why others are able to play games? I could think about games themselves but they came from a very popular place and moreover all games give me same error...
Can you help? Why not posting in download area a SD card image that surely works, it is just a hundreds of mega...with that, just ofw version can be different. Am I wrong? Putting this image on a blank SD card, with same ofw, must produce same result, with same hetake payload. Right?
Thank you
Regards

Did you check the SD for problems with H2testw? Did you reformat it before you started?

I should read better, you did test but you got a strange result it should test everything.

"Only 22310 of 29567 MByte tested"

29GB seems like a small sd also. I think you need 32GB minimum and more to install games.

Old answer. I have just changed it with a new sd card, 64 GB. Used just for test this

update to 14.1.2 download latest atmos, download/make your own sigpatches, inject fusee.bin and you should have any problem at all. If you care about being banned though, do not do this lol

I tried with DBI that is a wonderful debug tool
From its log, I can tell without any doubt it is a sigpatches fault
Here again talking about sigpatches. Is it then possibile to have these files up and ready for my switch? But are they different for each switch? I cannot understand why they do not work for me and work for others... anyway, take a look at picture in attachment

thanks for sharing
I have some doubts, anyway
step 9
"All tabs have the "Make Patch" button, you can press the button to search for the file/folder or drag and drop the file/folder on the button and the patches will be generated."
Wich file/folder am I suppose to choose, for each different tab?
Once made all patches, have I to put each generated file in the related subfolder of my SD card? And then, also patches.ini in bootloader folder? But have I to replace patches.ini file or merge it with the existing one? From your guide these additional steps are not clear (I won't use FTP feature, want to do by hand)
Ah, soory, I have another doubt: I have prod.keys taken from my switch with Lockpick_RCM, but are these keys absolute, or do they changes from one OFW to another? Also this part is not clear in the guide. If it is so, then I have to take again the keys...and then make the sigpatches against current OFW, in the previous step...
Could you please clarify?
Thank you

You'll need the files from step 8 in step 9...
Invite a technical savvy person over for coffee to help you with the whole process, this saves you a lot of time...
Cannot understand...
you need the file from 8 in 9:
  • Once you populate the keys you can use the "Loader", "ES", "FS" and "NFIM" tabs to generate the files
  • All tabs have the "Make Patch" button, you can press the button to search for the file/folder or drag and drop the file/folder on the button and the patches will be generated
which files are you talking about? step 8 just simply informs you about tabs to be used to generate IPS files: "Loader", "ES", "FS" and "NFIM". Unfortunately, Make Patch need something to generate files, but does not tell me what...

"Invite a technical savvy person over for coffee to help you with the whole process, this saves you a lot of time..." -> what does this mean? cannot understand...
