The 3DS has and had many different entrypoints to install homebrew, including one literally called "waithax" where literal waiting installed homebrew.

But how come the Switch still has one and only way to install homebrew, that being the RCM paperclip which only works on 10% of the consoles, and an extremely risky process of modchip obtaining and installation for the other 90%.

Did you unplug your keyboard while making this thread and then click on "submit" anyways ?
This lacks a conclusive question \ statement.
Accidently left my salt dispenser open

The switch is Nintendo's fort knox.
Even the cart reader has its own flippin firmware.
Making flashcards impossible.

Glitching the system is impossible except on boot, due to randomization and sandboxing.

Comparing 3DS security to that is just not gonna cut it.

TL;DR:
Better put your pirate hat into the closet.

ASLR is the major problem on patched switches

Because you spend your time whinging about Switch soft mods on a 3DS forum rather than being the change you want to see and finding a soft switch hack.

Seriously. You are right! Everybody else sucks. Only you can save us by finding the ellusive soft hack that nobody else can see.

Now is your time to shine!

Put all your angst into finding the Switch unicorn flaw and show everyone else up for the sorry losers that we know they are.

Please post updates on your efforts. I’m counting on you.

Please. How often will you post things like this? This has been answered so many times before.

"<Device A> has [...], why not <Device B>?"
Because Device B is different.

You are certainly not the only one wanting pure softmodding newer Switch consoles. Very talented developers and researches tried and failed finding an entrypoint.

No amount of threads about this will change the facts. If somebody finds and publishes an entrypoint: No doubt it will be on front page a minute later.

The best you can do (my personal opinion) is simply not buying DRM infected stuff. Yes, I know it is not gonna happen, but make a thought experiment: How long would DRM last if nobody bought the garbage?

Having given up on having you understand economics (supply and demand is often the first major thing they teach you) are you still pointedly refusing to learn anything about computer security? Even a casual scan of an article on "computer privilege levels" would stop you from looking so foolish in scenarios such as this.

I think we need to cut that one some slack...
Their intent doesn't seem overtly malicious, and we got some good replies.

How bout another biggu article ppl can link to of yours ?
(Cyber Security in modern consoles - Or: Why you can't have free gamez anymore)

I'm in reading mood :)
