WOW! Tried out few tracks some level didnt match the name of track some dont have map some track i cant jump to other road may be to far or no booster. Hope to see more updates in future it is just like Wii or 3ds CTGP its great to have on Wii U! Good job

Please read the included Readme, it addresses all of this, and stresses why this is referred to as an Alpha release multiple times, but the name match forgot to address. The names of new courses are proper in the menu, but don't match when you see the course first load with the cinematic preview (oh noez!). This is the nature of the cafeloader plugin modpack that adds courses to the mod. Maybe this will get addressed in the future, I don't know, I didn't create the framework, I simply work within it. Having said that, the discord for CTGP-Cafe that created the Cafeloader plugin in question disappeared today. So this may be the best this modpack ever gets, I don't know, it all hinges on if the framework improves or not.

Is the cafeloader plugin open source at all? Ik the discord went poof but hopefully somebody will fork it if it's been discontinued officially.
I dunno about open source, but the download page for cafeloader is still up here: https://rambo6dev.net/ctgp/

And I know the tutorial video on how to add your own courses is still on youtube, so at the very least, others can make their own similar modpacks still.

Hey there. I am having some trouble getting this mod to work. I copied the files to the root of the hard drive, booted it up, opened the patching program, all of that's running great so far. It's when I go to load the game, while the "Mario Kart 8 Ultimate" screen is loading, it crashes and gives me a black screen with this error message.

Util::fs::LoadFileEx:read(custom/cPict_Gds_Bowser.bfilm) failed!
Couldn't load file.. Please check your files
And I've copied the files to my sdcard twice. Any idea what this might be about?

If you've copied over everything exactly where it should be, and you're playing a US copy of the game on actual Wii U hardware, then the only reason I can fathom this would be happening for you would be because something is wrong with your SD card. Try a different SD card would be my advice under those circumstances. Or maybe your download got corrupted? You could try downloading the mod again if that still isn't working.

Since I don't know, are the tracks currently included that overlap with the official expansion (Ninji Hideaway, Coconut Mall, etc.) ported from Switch, MKTour, or other?

A little of both, some were ported from Switch, and some were ported from Mario Kart Tour (originally Coconut Mall was ported directly from the Wii, but then the better Switch version was ported). However, MK8 on Wii U is not programmed for alternate lap paths like Deluxe is, so Paris Promenade is the same lap all three times, and this is probably why Tokyo remains the only in the first wave not yet ported, since it will be just a single lap all 3 times. But they could do what the guy that ported Amsterdam did, just make 3 separate courses out of it, with each course doing one of the 3 different laps all 3 times. It works for me.

Just wanted to point out this is fantastic! Works amazing in single player but in multiplayer it runs in slow motion from what me and my gf have tested out. Still thanks for this amazing modpack @MikaDubbz

Just wanted to report this bug as I didn't see it listed in the readme anywhere
I haven't played a ton of local multiplayer in the modpack, but what I have played ran at what I thought was full speed. I know the more intensive courses will run slower in general, Bowser's Castle GPdx being a prime example.

At least a few courses when played in local multiplayer have messed up skyboxes. In particular, P1 sees P2's PoV and P2 sees P1's PoV as a skybox.

Thanks for making this mod! As I have the EUR version Mario Kart 8, I copied the extra files in the provided zip, but it stll didn't work. Turns out you have to rename 2 folders named 000500001010EC00 into 000500001010ED00.
All is working fine now!

yeah, I thought the readme mentioned that, also make sure if you haven't already that if you're playing the Eur version to extract this file and put it in the root of your sd card.
