Hacking SD card issue??

One of the micro SD cards I use for my system is "broken". On PC it says write protection is on. On console, the games are accessible, but attempting to save game progress crashes the system with the following error screen


An error occurred (ErrDisp)

How do I fix this?

EDIT: Any attempts at fixing the issue myself have failed, and write protection cannot be removed.

copy and paste the contents of your sd card to your pc, then reformat it. Put it back in your 3ds, then try to save.

When a sd card goes into write protection. it means the sd card is failing. They need a new sd card. They cant do anything besides backing up whats on that one.

Perhaps, but it is by far the most likely explanation.

Have you ever had a card that a PC identifies as read-only that can somehow be formatted? Because that's not what "read-only" typically means.
