It probably won't hit you the same as, to take an extreme example, the death of a loved one, but I can't say getting emotional for fiction that just pushes your specific button(s) is a silly concept. It's likely yours are just a bit more esoteric, and that's not that uncommon if we consider the extremely formulaic, factory line-esque state of mainstream narratives.It is fiction so emotions over such things is a silly idea.
