Homebrew channel banner launches HBC installer and hangs on the scam screen forever
It sounds like you've got NAND issues, so it might help if you could share a syscheck.

https://gbatemp.net/threads/posting-a-system-check.300279/

A few days ago, I reinstalled USBLoaderGX. Same issue.
Did you delete any USB Loader GX folders from both your SD card and USB HDD before placing the new files?

Is it possible to bring back Hermes v5.1 support, like in GX v2.1?
As far as I'm aware the Hermes cIOS should still work. Although you shouldn't need to use the Hermes cIOS for anything but a few custom games.

@Niavy, this is what sometimes happens when the hbc is installed in unintended ways. If u resoftmod u should be fine, if launching the hackmii installer via an exploit doesn't work, try Modmii's hackmii solutions wizard. Or do as blackb0x suggested and run syscheck, then drag and drop your syscheck.csv onto modmii.exe and it will tell you what to do

Why would you need Hermes support when d2x is more stable
Because WeSing does'nt work well with d2x. The Lyrics are not in sync with audio and video. Only with 224-MLOAD WeSing working great.

As far as I'm aware the Hermes cIOS should still work. Although you shouldn't need to use the Hermes cIOS for anything but a few custom games.
When I enter 224 in the game settings and start the game, the screen stays black. With the GX 2.1 the game starts as desired.

Gonna learn about the sysch3ck and do it, saw it here and there a few times but never needed it.

I can't remember rn what I deleted to reinstall. Should I wipe it all from both SD and HDD then before relaunching exploit ? (I will use Lego Batman one, that's dumb but I like the way it works better than the "user-friendly" Bannerb0mb xD)

You have a bunch of patched IOSs that could be the issue; it shouldn't matter though since your HBC is running off IOS58 and your IOS58 appears to be clean.

I suggest you drag and drop your syscheck.csv onto modmii.exe, it will help you install unpatched IOSs where appropriate, overwriting all the garbage you currently have in place. This may not solve your issue, in which case you should also launch the hackmii installer again and reinstall the HBC, hopefully it works properly this time

Some more background info: it's possible your current hbc v1.1.2 was installed via a packed wad or something instead of the hackmii installer, so even though it appears fine on your syscheck reinstalling it via the hackmii installer could resolve your issues; or you can reinstall the HBC in wad form - which only works if you are installing the open versions of the channel (v1.1.4 or v1.1.5), v1.1.2 is just as good as 1.1.5 for your purposes, so don't worry if you decide to use the hackmii installer to reinstall v1.1.2, this version is just as good as v1.1.5.

edit: HBC v1.0.7 or lower can also be installed via wad form, checks weren't added until v1.0.8-1.1.2 to promote people using the official hackmii installer instead of a packed wad, but you want to be on v1.1.2 or higher

I already tried to install OHBC but I already had "stock" HBC (LULZ) so I ended up with 2 hbcs, I didn't know it could happen .
I wish I could set it all clean but I don't know what happens if I uninstall HBC. Will it mess up my Wii or will it be enough to re-exploit and HackMii my Wii ?

I did a ModMii but I am not sure the WADs got installed, it seems that YAWMM got interrupted. I thought it low-level bricked my Wii but finally I succeeded in launching priiloader and then USBLoaderGX as an installed boot file.

I may dump my Wii before any more messing :D... But will it dump "hack behaviour errors" as well ?

I hacked 3 Wiis (Twilight Hack, Bathaxxx and Bannerbomb) but that's the 1st time it got messy, and I cannott identify what went wrong or what was modified.

And nand backups will include any issues that existed when the backups were made. U can still make them, then make another when after you've got it set up how u like it.

The 1.1.5 hbc has the LULZ title ID. So if u get that wad and install it it will overwrite your 1.1.2, then just uninstall the 1.1.4 ohbc wad

Here's a link to 1.1.5
https://github.com/Devnol/hbc/releases

To check if the modmii wads got installed properly, run another syscheck and share it

Edit: don't try "cleaning" or removing any mods, always overwrite. It can be done, but the end result is the same and u can make the process harder and more dangerous by trying to clean first

File cleanup removes files from your sd card or usb that are generally only needed when doing the initial softmod process. Removing those files from external devices will prevent kids or other people from having access to potentially dangerous apps.

This is not the same as "virginizing" or removing\cleaning the softmods that are actually installed to the console itself

Oh ok. Indeed useless for me, since I have a launcher that is installed on boot thanks to Priiloader. So the point now for me may be running another syscheck and then installing LULZ 1.1.5, right ?

AND THE NAND BACKUP IN CASE THERE'S A MESS, waiting for it all to be finally solved

Yes except don't forget apps are accessible via USB loader gx too. If kids will be using the console they will potentially have access to them even if they are booted directly into GX

Also note you can use a locked apps folder so they would need a password to access whatever apps you move there, available in Modmii's download page 2

on WiiU with 2HDD connected both with Y-cable and vWii HDD hidden with Ustealth, USB Loader GX works as intended but only when I do In-game reset and try to return back to USB Loader GX, WiiU freezes. It doesn't always happen but happens quite often. What could be the issue? HDD compatibility issue or Nintendont issue? Wii backups also had similar issues but I have been mostly using Nintendont with USB Loader GX so I am remembering GC backups having this issue recently to my mind.
Both IOS are set to 249. That was the one allowed me past 'reinitializing' issue.

Hello @XFlak here's my syscheck after ios wads install... Nothing changes.
1/ When in USBLGX, HBC access through Home button is ok
2/ USBLoaderGX HBC bottom right button softocks on a blank screen.
3/ I did not test HBC USBLGX channel. I bet it hangs on the scam screen...
Another point I noted is that the Nintendont button combination to return to menu (R+Z+B+Dpad down) freezes current game and softlocks console.

I’m interested in a settings option to hide the Game Count that is displayed centered on the bottom of the screen.

I don’t know if this has been suggested already. I’ll look through GitHub to see if I can review other issues that the devs are working on.

If you’re a dev, please share what I need to know to help contribute to this project, thanks.

HBC is working fine when launched directly not via gx?
