Just wondering, on the nes/snes side of things are there any games that don't work Or have issues?
I'm not sure about NES. I imagine maybe some games with odd mappers?

For SNES, what doesnt work is just anything with less common chips like DSP2-4 and such. DSP1, SuperFX, Cx4, SDD-1, SA-1, etc are supported. Besides that, any ExHiROM games. Only 1 or 2 ExHiROM games were officially made, but many hacks use that format (like Crimson Echoes). But ToP has a patch to make it work. Obviously super scope and mouse games arent supported too. 99% of SNES games work fine. At the most very minor issues.

Is there a limit of how many games you can remove or add to each system?
... The FAQ

EDIT:

CaVE has now been updated to v1.3.7. The recent NSO database updates have been included... including todays Genesis/MegaDrive update.

Heads up. This will likely be the last update outside of bug fixes and database updates. Any new features going forward will be saved for CaVE 2.0, since I enjoy working on that... and don't enjoy working on the 1.0 branch since few people care about any features I add to it.

That said... there is one last new feature in CaVE v1.3.7. A N64 .srm to NSO cartridge.sram converter, so you can use Retroarch saves (not save states) with NSO-N64.

Hi.
I want to try the manager, I started importing games to it, but I saw in the comments of the compatibility list that some need a 'Cold Reset'.

I don't know what that is or how to set it in the manager. Can someone explain?

I managed to try it, it's great.

Kirby 64's sound is not correct, it's delayed by a few seconds. Is there a way to fix that ?

Its a setting in CaVE. You have to enable the Advanced Options column in "View > Columns".

You can try adjusting the TickPerInst value in the RomOption tab of the "Edit Game Settings" settings window, accessed from right clicking on the game in the list.

Thank you very much. I checked the cold reset, even if I don't know what they do :P

For kirby 64, what I tried with that option you mentioned didn't work, but I downloaded a usa version rom and it worked ok with the metadata.

Though there are issues in kirby 64 with the UI, it doesn't show health or the powers. I've seen that in some n64 emulators/plugins before. It wasn't listed in the compatibility comments though.

Can I remove (hide) some of the original games, The games I want are already there on the nes and snes but there are a few I don't care to look at.
what folders would I have to load up in cave database to hide them? if possible.

Thanks

You can simple select them and press the delete key on the game in cave. Or right click and select delete.

When you do that for stock games, they arent removed from your switch. Just, they are no longer referenced and thus effectively deleted. You can re-add them in cave again at any time too, from the File menu.

So I have the NSO-N64 emulator installed on emunand (via nsp) and not my sysnand, would having any of the files created by the cave database on my sd card while cfw sysnand is running affect the console in anyway? Like would my cfwsysnand get flagged for a ban because of the files sitting inside the 0100C9A00ECE6000\romfs folder and subfolders?

edit: I know that the future is not certain as to whether nintendo will begin to ban people for simply using cfwsysnand, I only use it to load mods in smash which is considered low risk. What i want to know is if injecting new roms into the emulator would put me at risk for an immediate ban even though i'm only using it on emunand (I'll never install the n64 emulator on sysnand).

My SNES games are not working and I'm following all the steps (I'm on fw 14.0.0).
I click on a game and I only hear a sound, but the game doesn't start.

That... sounds like a bad .sfrom. Either you selected the wrong option when saving it in sfrom tool (it must be saved as a SWITCH sfrom format), or maybe you did something like simply try to rename a .sfc to .sfrom.

This is assuming you have tried serveral, known working games at least. 99% of the library works. Just some hacks dont, which is how most might encounter such an issue.

I can't download your sfrom tool from your website and I don't find it anywhere.
Also, some Genesis Games doesn't work (Golden Axe, for example, but the original Golden Axe does).

Will there be more games that get added?
There's a few like Hexen and Fighting Force 64 I'd enjoy seeing playable. If it is.
