Hello you all.

i have a shameful noob question. How i update my OFW?

I had the TXOS, then i migrate to Atmos. Currently on 1.3.0; HEKATE also updated, sigpatches ok (games launch correctly on CFW) and emuMMC on actual 14.0.0.

My OFW is on the very old 6.2, but now i want play some oficial games online, so i want update to the 14.0.0 on sysMMC too; But i dont know if could be a problem because im so far behind, if its only go online on sysMMC and ask for update.

I never used patches/hacks/CFW on sysMMC (im only used emuMMC so far).

I read sometime ago that something changed with the game card slot. This could be an issue?

Thanks you all for your help and sorry for the poor english.

but to use the daybreak on the sysMMC, i need boot with a CFW, right? This will not increase the chances of a ban?

its clean, i think (and hope). As i said i never used a CFW (or any homebrew) on the sysMMC, only with emuMMC.

soo... just go online on sysMMC and update then? no worry about this card slot (how it read
cartridges i think) change?

In that case it is safe to update via Nintendo's servers as @Hayato213 said. Alternatively you could always find a game cart with a newer firmware on it and update that way.

Edit: Actually you may want to consider not updating it since firmware 6.2.0 has a software exploit. If you keep it on that firmware you can launch CFW without using an external device. You can still play legit games online using a clean emummc booted with the stock option in Hekate.

oh really? Do you have any link that i can learn more about it?

On other hand... can i have another sdcard, with a clean emummc , update the firmware OTA without burn fuses keeping my sysMMC intact?

Then use Nintendo OTA update method
many thanks Hayato, one last dumb question... if i update my sysMMC, its a good practice make a new Swtich backup, right?

Sorry, looks like I was misremembering. The Deja Vu exploit only works up to 4.1.0. I do recall a 6.2.0 exploit but I can't seem to find any info about it online so I'm probably mistaken.

You can make a backup but label it as clean if you update via Nintendo server OTA

There's no dumb questions, only dumb people that don't ask.

And as the other folks told you, you have many options, but remember that whatever you are doing it's important to backup your current OFW and your current EmuMMC to avoid any hassles if your microsd fails you mid-updating for example.

Deja vu theoretically works up to 7.0.1, that's probably where you got that from.

This guide should work. Not sure if the servers are still up but they probably are.

Edit: On 1.0.0 it requires launching the web applet through Tetris but I know some people have made custom BCAT save files to launch it via the news section. I'm not sure how that works though.

Edit 2: If you ask in the ReSwitched Discord I'm sure someone there will be able to assist in launching it via the news section. I remember someone from there making a custom bcat file to launch webkit to a specific page.
