Really not a good idea. It needs to match your motherboard anyway so it probably won’t do what you’re hoping it will do.

IIRC your issue is a system that won’t power on or take an electrical charge. Withiut further diagnostics by a professional you are just guessing. Highly recommend you take your Switch into the shop.

there is a guide that says to use a donor nand to unbrick the switch and his prod keys

Anyone that would give you a copy of their nand would be very foolish.

Which guide are you following? I can help you see why it won’t work for you.

What guidance are you following for your recovery exercise and where are you in the process? It’s hard to discern without context.
newretrorepair. I am in the process of upgrading the hos firmware to 10.0.4(hacdiskmount) while also trying to retain as much information that was on the switch beforehand.(album pictures, users) Is this possible?

It is a great document if you have recently swapped out your eMMC chip. You have not done this though so flashing a new chip will not solve the power problem that you have where the switch will not turn on or take a charge. This document requires you to power in the Switch….you cannot do this so it is not for your situation.

I’m only guessing but there is likely an IC in the power circuitry that needs to be replaced in order to get yiu back up and running and your eMMC is very likely fine once you get past that. A professional electronics repair tech will be able to confirm this for you.

Firmware updates normally don't remove any information. I also would not recommend following a video guide. Instead, follow the guide provided by the tool emmchacgen

Still unsure of what process you’re following so really hard to predict if you’re going to be successful or not.

is that a site? Do you have a link?

I’d rather block you than let you do something dumb.

Best of luck talking to an electronics repair tech.

They will get you sorted in short order.

Good luck!
