It may not be an issue but is it possible to use an SD2VITA with games already on it with another vita?

yes, just delete the id.dat on root. you can unlink the console as well through henkaku settings. that deletes the id.dat, so it's the same thing.

I'm back. Got everything working perfectly for almost a year, but now I get an error message saying

The memory card has been removed.
Do not remove the memory card while this system is in use. If
you do, the data may become corrupt.

This system will restart.

Buying another SD2Vita didn't fix it. It happens within just a few minutes of starting the main menu or if I'm quick enough to launch a game, during the game. Sometimes the error can pop up within seconds. The SD card is a Samsung EVO Select SDXC U3 at 256GB. I tested it way back with that hwtest thing when I bought it and no errors occurred that would indicate it's fake.

@Subtle Demise ,maybe this type of sdcard is not compatible with SD2Vita,i always use a Samsung but it is a 256GB EVO Plus and not EVO Select.
I think theEVO Select is for cameras or other,you should try with a sdcard maybe even only 128GB if you have the same problem.

Thanks for the response, but as I said, it's worked perfectly for 11 months. Unless you're saying using it on the Vita has damaged the SD card somehow?

@Subtle Demise ,maybe some file is corrupted, you should make a backup of the sdcard and try the hack again and see if the problem persists.

Is it ok to make an image of the card as a backup? It won't interfere with the zzblank.img we do before formatting? Even with TeraCopy, it estimates it will take over a week to copy all ~78000 files, whereas imaging it will take only a few hours.

@Subtle Demise ,sorry a week for copy all files from your sdcard?
Such a long time is impossible,i would understand an hour or more,what computer do you have?
If you take an image of the sdcard, it will also create a backup of any corrupted or damaged files,which is why it is better to copy everything and format.

It's certainly not outside the realm of possibility. Nearly 80,000 little files being copied to a hard drive (not an SSD) from an SD card through a USB 2.0 connection. I guess I can try again copying all the files individually and see if the estimated time changes, but I assumed TeraCopy would have more accurate estimates.

EDIT: Seems it will only take 2 hours, I guess it based its estimate on all the retroarch cheat files that were 1KB or less.

Yeah, I always have that on. The files are almost done copying. I'll update if it works or not in about 4-5 hours.

I did format with Windows. exFAT with default allocation. I'll try again with that tool after h2testw is done, but I'm thinking it's a hardware fault on the Vita itself.

@Subtle Demise ,if you can't make a full backup of the sdcard,try to copy only the folders in ux0:addcount(contains the DLC of the installed games),app(the games),data(the various data of the games)and user(where there are game saves),the rest you can always reinstall as plugins or homebrews.
