I was playing Triangle Strategy recently, and when I touched my Switch I realized it was pretty hot. Not like burning hot, but pretty damn warm. So I went into the homebrew menu thing cause I figured oh I could check my temps there, and it read 54 C. Is that... a lot? It feels like a lot. It never exceeded 60 C, and the max I could get it to was 57 C. Should I be concerned?

It's normal for an ARM SoC. The Tegra X1 isn't particularly power efficient (particularly if you don't have the newer Switch that uses the improved X1+), it was designed for use in the Shield TV after all which is an Android TV box, so it has room for some decent passive cooling and power draw wasn't much of a concern. It's also old, so it's based on less efficient manufacturing nodes.

The switch will turn itself off when overheating.

Then you'll need to check the airflow (maybe dusts maybe damaged fan)

It was meant/designed to be used in handhelds too, tegra210-loki (scrapped TX1 Shield Portable) and tegra210-odin (TX1 Switch) were some of the earliest Tegra X1 boards predating the release of the Shield TV, both of which were portables... it just doesn't do a fantastic job at hitting that goal.
