i tried using usb loader gx to play a gamecube game and the title shows up and it says "1 game" but it shows up as a wii game and if i hit play it returns me back to the homebrew menu, i don't know what i'm doing wrong.

i think the issue may be that anytime i try to convert the iso to a wbfs (using wii backup manager) it immediately goes to 100 but nothing shows up in the file i chose to transfer it to, the one thing that did show up once was a info file that says disc.info but it seemingly hasn't done anything.

how do i fix this and get the game running? my usb is formatted correctly.

Check the directory and filename for the game. If on a hard drive, an example would be:

//wbfs/Super Smash Bros. Brawl [RSBE01]/RSBE01.wbfs

This should solve the black screen/kick you back to homebrew channel issue.

Also, use nintendon't for gamecube game loading.

i'm not sure what you mean so i'm just gonna show you my games and wbfs file, i'm using a Patriot Quick Drive usb (in case that's important)

for my games folder:

📁games

| 📁 The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition [PZLE01]
| game.iso

there's also a boot.dol file and for some reason the game.iso is also in the "root" (if that's what it's called?) of the games folder

(the game.iso file is the zelda game just renamed)

and then my wbfs folder:

📁wbfs

|📁 The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition [PZLE01]
| disc.info

the disc.info file is the info file i mentioned in the og post

also i have tried to install nintendont on my usb but it didn't work/show up in homebrew, i'm not sure if you know anything about that but just in case you do should i try installing it on my sd instead? my sd is what i used to hack my wii so i'm not sure if me using the usb is why it didn't show up in homebrew

UPDATE i ended up putting nintendont on my sd card and it worked so i think i got it now, thank you for the help! :D
