I had TLE working before with a plugin a long time ago, what happened to that? Had to update a lot of stuff and I don't know how to get it back.
The instructions are gone and the newer instructions require going to a site that has been shutdown.

Hi all! I'm trying to build the CIA, but when I enter
.\makerom -f cxi -o tle_update.cxi -rsf SoSToT_update.rsf -target t -desc ecapp:3 -exheader exheader.bin -logo logo.bin -exefslogo -code exefs/code.bin -romfs romfs.bin -icon exefs/icon.bin
I get an error saying "failed to open icon file "exefs/icon.bin". Anyone know what the problem is?

Hello! Sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm having trouble building the CIA. I'm at step 5 but I'm not sure what to put for "name of biggest content file". If anyone could enlighten me as to what this means that would be great. Thank you!

Just another lost soul here, wondering what to do with an .rsf file, since the instructions mention a .cia file but the download has no .cia file.

I've been roaming the internet for hours now but I can't find any usable information on it, and the other installation method (xdelta) isn't valid anymore because the required .cia isn't available anymore, and despite a lot of trying I don't seem to understand how to rebuild a .cia myself.

Sorry if this is a double post, I was finally able to get the cia to work and haven't ran into any problems so far. Now that that part is done, I'm trying to merge the patched update to the base game cia but I'm unsure how I would rebuild this.

Using the above as a base to work off from, I'm unsure what what I need to change for this to work. I also don't have a .rfs file of the base game nor do I know how to make one, but I also don't know if I'll need that to finish rebuilding the cia. I've already moved everything over, this is my only problem that I'm dealing with.

Honestly, building the CIA is the most difficult method and even with a video it's rather complicated compared to the other options. Been watching this thread for a while and in that time it's been 90% people lost and confused on how to do it, even with the additional written instructions. The loss of LayeredFS support and that ISO site going down has made this really inaccessible to beginners. Might be time to look into posting/distributing elsewhere, but that's risky and unstable, hence the current predicament. Those sites come and go very often.

sure! get your copy of trio of town 1.1 file and download the files under the building cia instructions; i use batch cia decrypt and the 3 files on number 3.

make a folder and drag all the files on it along with your ToT 1.1 copy and SoSToT update file from the patch files, they have to be on the same folder. on your start button, search cmd (command prompt), right click and click on "open file location", do it again so it leads you to system folder. copy that file and paste it on the same folder with your files. after your decrypt it, follow the rest of the instructions written by the developer.

if you're having any problems, feel free to ask. my bad if it's still confusing, im not that good at explaining. im usually bad at it.

if anyone still having problems, i can help a bit on the rebuilding part if people still confused.

I don’t think the first SoS even had a patch. If it did then @Silrae (sorry for the ping) might know. Anyway sorry I’ve been absent. I see that a lot of people are confused about the patch with the building and everything. The building is actually easy you just have to pay close attention to what you are doing. Recheck everything you do if you are attempting to build the cia. If you guys still don’t understand then all I’ll say is PM me here.

Lo Folks! Running into a bit of an issue that I assume is related to the patch. All set up for getting married on Fall 1 but when the day loads up the music starts playing over a back screen endlessly. Is there any fix for this at all?

I just tried to replicate the issue and got the same thing. I have no clue how to fix this honestly… only thing I can think of is doing the instant marriage cheat for this.
