Did you download your sigpatches from GitHub? This is straight from the source. Download and transfer, overwriting when promoted. You can download from here, it's a good alternative and since it's from Gbatemp, it is trustworthy. I've used both on fw v13.2+atmosphere v1.2.5 and they both work just fine.

I would also like to suggest using the latest version of Tinfoil, as Awoo, Goldleaf and TinWoo all gave me issues before, during and after installing. I suggest Tinfoil because it is so simple to use, it's quite noob friendly, it's feature rich, lots of options that're easy to understand and most importantly, Tinfoil supports a VERY wide range of install sources. ie: USB, connecting to PC as well as USB flashdrive drives (only as a storage drive, you cannot install to the flashdrive), Nut (hosting from your computer and connecting through USB), ftp, http, https, Google drive and much more. These options are very handy because you're not stuck having to split your NSP files to get them to fit on your MicroSD card. Your SD card should be FAT32, not exFAT cause exFAT corrupts quite easily when used on the Switch.

Lastly, if you do split your NSPs, I'd like to suggest that you try using Switch Army Knife. It's literally the only tool you'll need for converting between the 3 formats (NSP, XCI, NSZ), splitting, merging updates and dlc and joining split files plus it will transfer straight to SD as it splits so you don't have to split, then transfer, saving time.

My last bit of advice is be mindful from where you download your tools and files. Trust GitHub and Gbatemp for downloads and help. If you're following any softmod guides, make sure you're not following an old and dated one and don't trust YouTube videos to be accurate. I used this guide but the consensus seems to be that this is this definitive and most up-to-date guide.

i just did a fresh install (formatted the SD Card to FAT32 also to get rid of any previous stuff on it) of latest firmware (1.3.2 with Atmosphere 1.2.5 and the latest sigpatches from ITotalJustice, even tried both the fusee and the hekate zip files), Tinfoil will not install, using the self installer NRO just says it's corrupted data has been detected, please run a check for corrupt data while using the NSP and then with Goldleaf will say the standard error 2002-4518 invalid NCA, so it seems there is an issue with the latest firmware and sigpatches and tinfoil install atm. Restarting the whole system after putting in the sigpatches also did nothing.

Hi mates!

I just had an error message appearing on the boot of my Switch.
The message says that an error has been found, and to reboot the console by pressing the POWER button, and if it not works, to turn the power of by holding POWER for 12 seconds.
Bellow all that text and the message to contact Nintendo if the error persists.

That error happened when i tried to boot the mtp-server-nx app, via hbmenu 3.5.0, then it booted a black screen with a bunch of repeated texts and it freezed. I waited some seconds and decided to press the home button, it not worked, and i tried to turn the console of holding the power button, it didn't woked at first, and holding the home button there, opened the menu with brigtness and stuff, closing it turned back to the black screen, holding the power button, opened the power menu, then a choose to turn it of, but it didn't woks. After all that, i holded the POWER button for some seconds, and lt turned of, then i tried to boot on RCM mode, but it didn't worked for some reason, then i tried the normal boot, and here the error above was showed, tried many times, but i couldn't boot the console the normal way. Then, i tried the RCM mode again, and i get it to boot Atmosphere, then i choose emunand, and it worked, but now i'm afraid that i will not be able to boot on sysNAND by normal means anymore, here's some more info.
The sysNAND is still on 10.2.0
The emuNAND is on 13.0.0
Latest version of Heckate and Atmosphere
I enabled the use of game cart on AMS and Heckate and just played Super Mario Odissey physical cartridge on there since this update on the EmuNAND.

Hope i made it clear enough. :D

Do anyone know whats happening? Can i fix it to normal boot the console again, or i messed it for good?
I'm grateful for any help.

So, I thought that a 256gb SD card would be enough space for all the games I got for my daughter but I've already ran out of space. 😬 So I'm looking at 512gb cards and was wondering if I got one and prepared it just like I did to being with (partitioning and making emuNAND etc), would I be able to just drag and drop everything from one card to the other without needing to reinstall everything? What would be the process to upgrade my card without needing to start anew?

I found this guide. It seems pretty straight forward. Can anybody confirm that this is the correct process?

Another question I am trying to find a solution to but I don't think my Google Fu is working well enough on this one.

So it seems like when I first softmodded the switch, when I was in Hekate there were 4 entries in the Launch screen: sysNAND (stock), sysNAND (CFW), emuNAND (CFW) and (I think) fusee as the 4th option...well that 4th option is not there now...does anybody know what the 4th option is supposed to be or am I imagining things? Did something change after I updated to fw v13.2 (from fw v5.1)?

Unfortunately, I have some more questions (sorry!). I understand that autorcm changes how we power on, charge etc. What I am trying to figure out is whether or not I can setup autoRCM with fusee? How do I make my switch reboot back into atmosphere without needing to select emuNAND from the launch screen?

I am on the same version fw, atmosphere, tinfoil and sigpatches. I had to wrack my brain and think a little deeper about when I had these same exact issues. How I remedied this; I redownloaded the tinfoil installer and placed it in the "Switch" folder. Next, I started hbmenu while pressing R to get it to start with full "privileges" (for lack of better words, where it has full access to all pf the switch's ram (running hbmenu in applet mode is basically in gimp/limited resources mode)). Then I was finally successful in installing Tinfoil as well as this Hbmenu forwarder( you must key hbmenu.nro in the root of your sd card.) I stopped getting the corrupted data error and everything installs just fine now. Hope this helps you and others who've run into this issue. Let me know if this helps or not though. Good luck, man!!

sigpatches from https://gbatemp.net/threads/sigpatches-for-atmosphere-hekate-fss0-fusee-package3.571543/ seems to have fixed it, so it seems the sigpatches from https://github.com/ITotalJustice/patches/releases might be faulty for latest firmware and atmosphere.

For starters, I don't see any error codes. I just see your console's full serial number which you should never post and the firmware. You can try deleting the mtp-server-nx app since it caused the issue in the first place. Also make sure that your SD card is formatted to FAT32.

Ohhh!! Thank you very much for the reply, i didn't know that! Edited the post, i'm really noob with this kind of thing, as you can see. I will try deleting the app, thank you again!!

I really messed up something here, the system doesn't pass through the screen that asks to turn it off or reboot, even if i take out the SD card. Maybe the internal storage got corrupted, if that's the case, any way of restoring it?

Have you tried completely powering down your switch by pressing and holding the power button for 12+ seconds? You may be in RCM and not know it since the screen appears to be off until you send a payload.

@Draxzelex you may want to edit your post as well, her serial is still in your quote of her post.

Yes, i did! But it does nothing. Don't know what's happening, the Stock OS cannot be booted anymore, just emuNAND. But thanks for trying to help me.

I'm still a noob but learning quickly. I'd still like to help. Have you tried using hekate as your Payload and then launching sysNAND?

This is just be being curious if anyone here knows of a good suggestion, but does anyone have recommendations for getting a fan to aid with cooling my switch while it's docked? I keep getting overly paranoid of it overheating / getting damaged (it's a first edition), since I don't think i'll be able to get a new one let alone mod it. (also apologies if this is the wrong place to post this, i just assumed it was a noobish question due to how anxious I am)

1: hekate ipl for the most part is user specific. theres no set icons that are "suppose" to be there by default. all you need is stock, sysnand cfw, and emunand. unless you run android and linux, then those also.

2: autorcm is for the switch, doesnt effect a payload, find the "reboot_payload.bin" in the atmosphere folder, and replace it with a copy of "fusee.bin" then rename fusee.bin to reboot_payload.bin

can use sysclk overlay and tesla to monitor temps. imo shouldnt go beyond 58c. and if your that determined, open up the back and apply a new and better thermal paste, its pretty simple. assuming the fans are working properly, the thermal paste is a wear point over time.

You're awesome. Thank you. I did this and I am able to use reboot to payload and restart atmosphere. Worked a treat.

Another thing in wondering, am I able to create a custom hosts file to block YouTube ads? I tried amending about 500 URLs to the 90dns one and my switch crashed on reboot throwing a fatal error message, so I reverted back. Can I add to the default.txt or create one called YouTube? What would the process be to add my own custom set of URLs to block?
