He just throws a lot of possible errors (the infamous easy to fix ARM11 crash with process PM, ARM9 errors and unable to mount CTRNAND) all in one pot... while just reading the first few words of each error continued by "Bla bla bla!"
Seriously? All errors are the same? All errors need CTRTransfer? He even provides a "All-in-one starter package" instead of linking to the latest version of each software.
Did this video miss even a single of the possible pitfalls?

I have no idea if:
  • Everything inside that package is needed and correct
  • The provided CTRTransfer images are valid
  • He actually knows what he is doing
Reading the comments below the video made me despair of humanity: All praise, everything is good, all thank you.
I feel traumatized from seeing this.
I watched only half of the video and then stopped because of the mental pain it caused. The most important things to do BEFORE even attempting CTRTransfer weren't mentioned:
  • Checking the SD card for fake/defects/failing/corruption by copying everything from the SD to the computer, reformatting the SD and checking the it in empty condition with h2testw or F3.
  • Backing up the NAND before any repair attempt (even if the device is currently software bricked -- restoring a backup might be needed).

Please do the following:
  • Test an empty, FAT32 formatted SD with h2testw or F3. Run the full write/read cycle and only use the SD if the test completes without errors.
  • Take a picture of the current error and upload it
===================
Serious firmware damage might need a more intense way of repairing (CTRTransfer Type D9)

Nice!
I hoped so. The instructions are really detailed and it is important to read them carefully. The end results of this excellent script in cases of severe firmware damage really show it is worth trying. *Sigh* TurdPooCharger left a gap in the GBAtemp forum nobody is able to fill.

Now please create and securely store a NAND backup from after the firmware repair. NAND restore is significantly easier than CTRTransfer Type D9 in case of a disaster (although not the first thing to try normally).

This is really important:
[…]Don't follow video tutorials from YouTube. […]
I have no idea why there are so many bad videos about console softmodding, but… they exist. Normally videos aren't totally wrong – the video you linked to will most likely have helped quite a few people solving some kind of problem – but it omits important things like SD check, backup and explanation why something is done.

A video with "one solution for all problems" sounds attractive – but this isn't a very convincing approach. CTRTransfer, even the standard version, is a pretty heavy thing. The all-in-one package the video author provided will most likely also contain Luma3DS v 10.2.1 so that extracting the archive to the SD will fix the ARM11 crash (process PM). Running CTRTransfer in that case is nonsense and doesn't even copy the new Luma boot file to CTRNAND.

All the topics he touches in the video… and the whole thing is only a few minutes short. It is not possible to cover all topics in that short period of time.
I'm not surprised that Google often has YouTube (owned by… why would have thought that… Google) videos as top results.

Good luck and have fun!
