What are your thoughts? Are you excited for its release?

As oculus/facebook have ditched the rift completely, I have no means to try it. Would have been a day 1 purchase otherwise. Grr.

Of all titles to make an exclusive… I hate that they chose this ;O; there’s sooo many people who would’ve gotten into the VR scene for this game alone if it weren’t exclusive

They are basically pissing on early adopters - I won't be buying an oculus system again.

Out of curiosity, which headset do you own now?

Played about a couple hours worth today. Pretty great conversion but it still reminds you fairly frequently that this is not a game made with VR in mind. Also, I know the Q2 is running mobile hardware but the environment is incredibly static and non-interactive.

Still, pretty impressed so far and looking forward to playing more. I think this may become the definitive edition of RE4, surpassing the Wii edition.

Like I said, Oculus have completely ditched the rift. I can still use it for steam games, but ugh. I won't be buying anything from them again.

This game just gets better and better. May be the next best VR game for me after Alyx. Sure it's not as interactive but the game itself makes up for it. The gunplay is so good. Especially the rifle. Being able to scope in naturally just feels so fun and you even get to perform the classic reload yourself.

I'm kinda glad I never got far in RE4 before as most of this is new to me. Just got to chapter 5. Fuck these regenerators, man...

Considering the Quest 2 is using an underclocked mobile chip, they're actually quite fantastic. Probably the best on the system.

Obviously the world is quite static and lacking interactivity but the actual clarity and character/weapon models are brilliant.

It also shines in small confined areas and when enemies are up close but that goes for most VR titles.
