Recently I have been trying desperately to learn how to program for the DS,
I am in college for Computing and think designing and programming for a device with limited resources would be great practice, plus it was my first ever console so holds great value to me.
I have a game idea in mind but understand that I cant just expect to have a full game made with little experience,
Making posts on here for every little issue I may have seems inefficient and would likely just clog up the board a bunch with crap.
essentially is there anyone here who has already made a game for the NDS that would be able to perhaps add me on discord so I could ask questions directly as I run into issues.
don't even necessarily need help making the project just the odd questions.

I am using Devkitpro with NFLib and programming in c++.

username is MrMoneyBags#9573 for anyone that would be able to help

If I may: why, exactly? Do you expect you will spent much of your time in the future programming devices with limited resources? Do you know of others who have benefited from such practice? It seems to me it is much more likely that you will end up working with environments lacking most of the limitations you would encounter on a DS.

Anyway, in general when it comes to such things, it can help if you describe in more detail what you have been able to accomplish so far.

of course it is only my opinion but I would imagine learning how to deal with memory and things like this is just good to know, surely learning on lower specs would make you atleast consider more efficient methods so you can lower the specs needed to run whatever it may be in the future.
also its just a little project for myself, doesn't necessarily have to completely translate over to a job or anything.
so far I have learnt how to display backgrounds and sprites and I thought I knew how to scroll backgrounds but I cant find the reason it isn't working

With today's transfer speeds, storage devices, and computing power, this is hardly the weighty consideration that it once was – unless perhaps you're dealing with mobile apps, and in that case wouldn't you be better off learning how to program apps in Android or iOS instead? Just sayin'. I'll shut up now.
