How is it supposed to be formatted??
I used the guide and I didn't notice anything special about formatting in any certain way.

I tried 6 different micro SD card from 512MB all the way to 128GB

As to formatting I tried exFAT, FAT32, and whatever real Nintendo Switch formats (as I mentioned I formatted with another NSwitch just to be on the safe side)

And no, I don't think any of them are fake, They all were purchased from legitimate websites, None from weird 3rd party stores or eBay.

He meant that you should try to format the card as FAT32. As for what to do when you first got the card was to test the card, H2testw (Windows), F3X for mac.

I am getting error messages when I try to install my switch backups to my sd card, anyone can help me out here?

I try to edit the raid rewards via pknx (just for my local game obviously) i know i edit the correct den, and i exported the files back to the atmosphere folder, but i don't think atmosphere made any changes in the game. Do i have to enable something to make those changes happen?

Hello, I bought my Switch in August 2018 and modded it with Reinx. Have played some games, but never touched it for years after that.
Now I want to update to a newer CFW, since Reinx is dead(?). Do I need to "uninstall" Reinx somehow or do I just format the SD card and follow a tutorial for another CFW?
What's the best CFW right now? Is there a step by step tutorial somewhere, since I forgot nearly all I learned back then :(
Tried to read a few threads in the forum, but I get lost in all the names mentioned here (hekate, emunand, ...). So yeah, I'm a total noob at the moment. Sorry!

What's the maximum SD Card capacity that the Switch can handle?
I've heard that anything around 1TB and over can lead to overheating which can ultimately lead to the SD Card melting and frying the slot...

I don't know how much help I can be but what I do know is that all mods have to be placed into the /atmosphere/contents folder. Also I looked at the GitHub page and it says the tool operates under the assumption your game is on version 1.3

ReiNX is a very lightweight CFW that only operates with the /reinx folder so removing that is equivalent to "uninstalling" ReiNX. Given that SX OS has not received an update in about 6 months, the only remaining CFW is Atmosphere. I recommend following this guide for how to set it up. One last thing to note is that both ReiNX and Atmosphere use a /sept folder in order to boot so before you try to launch Atmosphere, make sure you remove the /sept folder that was associated with ReiNX.

The Switch can theoretically handle up to 2 TB SD cards. However those do not exist as of yet.

As I have previously mentioned, I have already tried FAT32 formatted SD cards with same result.

Thanks for the clarification though.

Am I the only unlucky Switch owner where the Homebrew menu doesn't load, even though exploit itself seem to work? That seem hardly possible.

First thing you do when you get a new SD card is to test it, so give it a test see what the result is.

I did test it and I got "smashed it with 0x0000". My serial is in a "maybe" zone. So I moved on since it's on 4.1.0 which should still be hackable.

0x0000 isn't a h2testw test result, that from seeing if you can inject a payload or not.
Is it not? I vaguely remember that's what I was supposed to look for after shorting the pin on the right controller. (It's been probably couple of years since I performed that test)

I said test your SD card with H2testw, see if the card is legit or not, copy your file first then test the card with nothing on it. Test your largest size card since you said you have multiple sd cards.

Oh, I thought you were talking whether my Switch is exploitable or not.
I understand the concern about SD card not being legit, but as I previously mentioned I tried 6 (SIX) different SD cards, that are ALL from legitimate sources. 6 fake cards odds are kind of astronomical.
But I'll check in a moment and report back.

Okay, my Switch is hacked, and has all that good stuff. But I'm curious, is there a free homebrew way to have auto save cloud back up to my Google Drive? Or a way to link my Switch to my Steam account for cross saves?

What is the point of testing with H2testw? It says I have another 2h to test the card. For what exactly? Let's say it is fake and it does not report what it supposed to, how does that affect the ability of executing the exploit and inability to load HBmenu?
I feel like it's apples and oranges here.

If it bootleg you shouldn't use it, you just going to run into file corruption problem.

But the exploit works, up to the selecting the album on ALL 6 cards EXACTLY the same. It freezes (partially) only when I select the album.
Can't we just for the sake of argument assume that the cards ARE good and move forward with the issue I have?

Well if the problem was the card it would explain the freeze. If you don't want to test the card can't help you then.

Thank you for your patience. I am testing the card as we speak, but once again we are talking about 6 SIX different cards, not one. And all act the same. If there were inconsistencies in the behavior of some then cards would be suspicious, but consistent behavior on all, I'd think something is off either with my NS or the exploit itself not accounting for all the minute difference in all revisions of NS.

Well wait for the h2testw result , see what it says about the 128GB, if it doesn't says test finish without error then you got a bootleg.
