Ok I can try that, I followed this tutorial for this page to make the CFW, there is a part that we create the Making the emuMMC, don't know if that is related to partition-based i guess it is

Well emuMMC comes in two flavors; file and partition based. File-based, as the name implies, has the emuMMC be a single file. Partition-based is not as easy to spot to the naked eye as Windows does not traditionally show the partition by default. Outside of using a third-party tool like gparted to analyze the SD card, if you notice there is about 29 GB of space missing from your SD card that isn't taken up by a file of that size, then you are most likely using partition-based emuMMC.Ok I can try that, I followed this tutorial for this page to make the CFW, there is a part that we create the Making the emuMMC, don't know if that is related to partition-based i guess it is

That is great but that doesn't answer my initial question of whether your supposedly blank tiles are just matching the background or are previously messed up installations.I'm on 9.01 ofw, and I believe the newest version of atmosphere and hekate.

Unless there is something you wish to transfer from your old emuMMC, yes you will only have to redo the process of creating emuMMC on the new SD card.So yes you are right men, So if I swap to a new SD card I have to make the same process to have separate Nands, one with the CFW and another one with Original Software

You didn't answer my question though. Are those just tiles that match the background or are they actually installed titles that simply do not launch?
Installed titles that don't load. I doesn't show any info on them. Also I'm on 9.01 ams m. 19.2
thanks i'll try this out!Hold R while clicking on the Album icon will open the gallery
If you want to transfer your current EmuMMC to the new sd card you can follow this guide (same site as the initial guide you followed):Nope, Switch is "new" and don't have anything installed
Awesome men will try your recommendations and see if everything goes through
I appreciate your help
@Draxzelex you rock bro, I just use the same 64GB SD (Since my dog ate the 128GB before I perform the swap)
Installed TinWoo and was able to install games, will keep testing
Something that I just found is that I am unable to enter HB menu on applet, tried to use R + Game and no luck, any idea why?
Checking .NSP safety is more for paranoid people because out of the thousands of games available for the Switch, only a whopping 2 have ever been found to be malicious. Putting that into perspective, there have been more bricks due to homebrew apps than malicious .NSP files. I don't know of any updated tools to check .NSP safety mostly because I feel these are reserved for the more paranoid so as long as you have an eMMC backup, you really have nothing to worry about. Is NX Game Info still the best way to check nsp safety? It hasn't updated in a while and I don't know if it's just not necessary or if it was deprecated in favor or another app.
Thanks beforehand!
Hi,
I'm thinking of getting a Nintendo Switch but are not yet sure if I should go with a hacked or original.
I have a Nintendo Wii hacked that worked great for many years but not working anymore. Not sure why but there have been trouble with updates and getting games running. I also have a hacked Nintendo Wii U, this is still working but there have been some problems, I have lost DLC:s to games and its a hassle to install new games. Its not as easy to install and start games as we would want.
Now we are thinking about getting a Nintendo Switch. There is a local seller that buy used Switch units, install atmosphere and sell with a $100 bump.
So, before I make my choice there is a couple of questions I would like to get some input on.
1. Atmosphere can be installed on Switch v2, is this a real option? Or will it lack some important functionality? Will it be more complicated to use?
2. Is there any other way to hack a Switch besides Atmosphere? What is the best hacking solution for Switch in the long run?
3. It have been a risk to use a hacked wii online, how about hacked Switch? Is it a always offline solution?
4. How hard is it to install new backups on a hacked Switch? I find the Wii and the Wii U to be a bit to complicated, If I haven´t installed a backup for a couple of years I have to read up to find out how it works. Its not just get the backup and copy it to the memory card. Its possible that this is what made my Wii go down, I know there was some problems copy update files and what not.
5. How hard is a hacked Switch to maintain with updates and so on? Is it a couple of hoops to get it working with some risk involved or is it much easier now?
6. How likely do you think it is that Nintendo will release a new Switch 2021?
Upon some light research, this error seems to be pretty generic. There is an issue with the Atmosphere files but its hard to point down which one. Some people report solutions after using the archive bit fix via Hekate while others got the issue resolved after formatting their SD card to FAT32. Whatever the case, the Atmosphere files you have on your SD card are no good so you most likely updated the CFW incorrectly. Whether you want to perform a clean install or try one of the fixes I mentioned, I'll leave up to you.Hello guys
So, after not having used my Switch for a while, I am now back to Swich Modding and recently updated my Emunand FW from 10.0.4 to 11.0.1, at which time I was unable to launch any games or Custom NSP titles since I just end up with a black screen (that I could exit out of using the Home Button, but only once).
Since just about everything else was updated I assumed my outdated version of Atmosphere was at fault and updated to the latest version and now I can't even Launch Atmosphere. I get the Atmosphere launch Icon, but then it just throws a fatal error. I've attached a screenshot of the error. I can upload the actual error report (.bin file) too if that helps, but I don't know how to even read it as opening it with Notepad++ just gives me alot of gibberish.

I've tried both tools and the sd cards turned out to be legit.Again, you cannot verify if an SD card is fake or not based on who sold it. You have to use a program such as h2testw or FakeFlashTest.
You can use the homebrew applications ChoiDujourNX or Daybreak. I also advice you to not update to firmware 12.X as it is still unstable plus nothing outside of online play requires that firmware.I've tried both tools and the sd cards turned out to be legit.
Finally, the recent Atmosphere update (0.19.2, e8ba632) addressed the issue so I'm now able to boot normally into CFW.
Very greatful to you Draxzelex and Ibcap for the insane patience and amount of help received over the course of dozens of messages.
I'm getting a current system version of "4.1.0|AMS M.19.2|E", which is indicative of CFW. What's the best way to update it without affecting the OFW and possibly not going online?
