This is very interesting!

I tried booting Knuckles Chaotix with SuperSonic's version of RA, and once you turn of Dynamic Recompilers it actually plays, but very slowly. Pretty great news in any case, I hope they manage to fix it.

The game did not take long to load in my case though.

Super cool news, this was the only Sega console missing on the Wii. Tested a bunch of games, only Mortal Kombat II was missing sprites.

I've added it to my builds, it takes a while to load and compressed roms are extracted to your sd/usb. The overscan setting only works vertically so tiled rendering is useless but I've included it anyway.
Working normal here, great to have it on the SS builds already. BTW, any chance to see Reminiscence core and GenesisPlus GX Wide in your builds?

@SuperrSonic Can I request a link to your custom build?

I accidentally left in a build that is based on Sonic 2 CX (filename is sonic2.dol) but without a modified rom it's unplayable. I'll add it next time. I'll try adding Reminiscence too.

So cool to see Picodrive has finally been updated to work on big-endian CPUs and got ported on Wii after all these years (it even looks like the 32x emulation got a PowerPC dynamic recompiler!), time to dust my old hacked Wii I guess :-)

I've been out of Wii homebrew for so many years, barely looking at hot topics title in this forum from time to time so I am wondering what is this 'tiled rendering' thing you are talking about ? Also, what is the relation to overscan setting in Wii emulators ?

It's this really cool thing that Extrems added to mplayer-ce a long time ago, it lets you render more pixels, in this case more than 640 horizontally so Genesis games that use a color border can display without any blurry scaling. A few Virtual Console games do it too. I added it to RA as a setting only for a few cores a while back but it's a bit glitchy (no overlays/menu transparency.)

It's right there on his signature.

Thanks.

Thanks a lot. I must say though I do miss the cheat/ cheat search options. When I
saw the frame blending option I almost thought it would be motion interpolation/smoothing but I know that this
technique is much too CPU/GPU intensive for the Wii to handle.

I didn't originally know that endianess was the reason it wasn't on the Wii. Would also be nice to
use this on my Rebug CFW PS3.

Soon Kolibri in 240p on my Trinitron TV? The best 32X game, too bad it costs so much :/
