Hello, this is my first firmware update since switching to Atmosphere from SXOS, so pardon my ignorance.

I just update to Switch firmware 12 (needed to because I have to use the save file transfer feature) and updated Atmosphere

Everything went well, but now whenever I open Checkpoint, it crashes to the "An error has occurred" screen (Error Code: 2144-0001 (0x290)

Do I need to wait for a Checkpoint update for the new firmware?

JKSV works too, but whenever I apply my save file to a game, and then try to send the save data to my non CFW console, the system also crashes as soon as I choose my profile

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Okay. Title Override still resulted in a crash, do you have any other ideas as to what may be going on?

I am on the latest Checkpoint, and did not mess with anything else aside from update to 12 + Atmos update
I'm atm on 11.0.1. Will test it later if it works for me.

In the official changelog for atmosphere 0.19.0:

...
  • Please Note: 12.0.0 added a new protocol for IPC ("tipc"), which has been freshly reimplemented in its entirety.
    • It is possible there may be as of yet unfound issues; if there are, please send the appropriate crash reports to SciresM (SciresM#0524 on discord).
    • Homebrew which uses atmosphere extensions (including the mitm API) will need to be re-compiled in order to function on 0.19.0.
      • I apologize for this, but it's unavoidable for technical reasons. If you're affected by this and mad about it, please contact SciresM to complain.
...

So it seems we will have to wait for an updated version of some homebrew to work with 12.0.0+atm0.19.0.

Gotcha, thanks for the info!

Now I just need to figure out why I am getting a crash when trying to transfer Save Data to my other console

Is working with 19.1? In my switch I can’t run checkpoint

Oh no sorry, I meant the Save Data Transfer was working with 19.1. Checkpoint still doesn't work as the Checkpoint app itself needs to be updated. So you can keep an eye on their GitHub for an update, hopefully it will be out soon as I am not a fan of the JKSV interface

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
