Hardware Wii making strange crackling noises

So; I recently bought a used softmodded Wii for 38 dollars
everything works fine its just that when I boot it makes weird clicking and ticking noises
sounds kind of like electricity
it also happens sometimes during gameplay and turning off
sometimes it gets so loud it feels like its about to explode
tried to flip and put the wii right or left or standing but the issue wasn't solved
what do you think is happening? is it going to break or something?

It could be a lot of things... could just be something as simple as the laser lens re-aligning (if it's a bit worn out), or it could be something a lot more serious.
Without seeing/hearing it, it's hard to know.
Does it read disks? Is the noise worse when it's reading disks?

i haven't tried any disks yet but clicking eject button makes a regular sound
i'm not sure about this and it could be just the usb but sometimes it feels like the fps goes down slightly during playing especialy in mario kart wii offline multiplayer it goes in slow mo for few seconds
