There are no known exploits yet, next-gen is still extremely fresh. With Series S/X it's hard to know if there will even be any interest in exploiting it, since nobody seemed to bother with XB1.
tbf I like what Microsoft did with the Xbox, you can run your own stuff on it correct? I'd imagine a fair bit of the lack of interest is a result of that

Microsoft was actually impressed with all the mods for the OG Xbox, that they integrated many of the features to the 360, like loading your games to the HDD, and allowing external storage.

Yeah, why didn't anyone ever bother exploiting the XB1? It would be an absolute powerhouse for Linux.
Probably because all the games are on PC and you don't have to exploit it to get them free.

Yeah that's the other part of the equation, people who are only interested in homebrew have no reason to want to exploit it.

Right, with the value of GamePass, most people don't even see a reason to hack it.

There is RetroArch retail hack... it works good..

As far as hacks go, that is it...

To be honest, the RetroArch hack is the *only* reason I want a Series S. I want a really good emulation box and the Series S looks like it'll do what I need within my gaming budget for the year. I'd rather spend the money investing in it as an emulation box than to buy Xbox games I can already play better on, well, PC with GamePass.

microsoft put a lot of effort into making it pointless to spend time making an exploit.

I guess it helps that Microsoft has mainly been an OS company.

Longer answer: Someone needs to be interested enough to do so, and that's where the problem generally lies.
Dev mode would need to stop completely for that to happen and frankly I'm not entirely sure if that will happen or not, even though I have been hearing news and rumors about it.

If it does tho then that means that hackers, Linux enthusiasts, pirates you name it will suddenly gain more interest in hacking the system and so it will be exploited.

The power the 3 forces joined is unstoppable, you really cannot underestimate them.
