Hello.:)

Since yesterday,I have noticed this Issue (I usually do not boot anything manually from the CBHC Boot Menu):

Starting the Wii U (CBHC) - pressing "HOME" to enter the Boot Menu - choose "Boot vWii System Menu" - this garbled Picture appears:

https://i.ibb.co/kqQxp4T/P1020072.jpg
https://i.ibb.co/mDwGZYF/P1020074.jpg

I can press "A" on the Wiimotion Controller and it boots into the vWii System Menu,I can hear the Music/Sound playing.Only the Picture is "damaged".

What happens before:

- I made an NAND Backup from the vWii
- I installed a custom Homebrew Channel (different ID than the Original Homebrew Channel),which was "maybe" not for the vWii - it was converted from the Wii.
With booting the custom Homebrew Cannel I had the Issue with garbled "Health & Safety" Screen and vWii System Menu Screen.

After de-installing the Channel it all seems ok,except when I do the Process like discribed:
Starting the Wii U (CBHC) - pressing "HOME" to enter the Boot Menu - choose "Boot vWii System Menu" - garbled Picture

So I decided to make the NAND Restore with the previously made Backup.
After that (without any Errors),my current Issue still happens:

Starting the Wii U (CBHC) - pressing "HOME" to enter the Boot Menu - choose "Boot vWii System Menu" - garbled Picture but Sound is there
I can press "A" on the Wiimotion Controller and it boots into the vWii System Menu,I can hear the Music/Sound playing.
If I "catch" the Homebrew Channel Icon,it also boots with garbled Screen.

What is still working:

- Boot directly into the Wii U Menu and then into vWii - works
- Boot from the CBHC Boot Menu into the vWii Homebrew Channel - works
- Boot from the CBHC Boot Menu into the vWii Homebrew Channel and then back into the vWii System Menu - works
- Boot from the Wii U Menu with the USBLoader GX Channel/Forwarder and then back to the vWii System Menu - works

It seems any Bootoption EXCEPT that one from the ColdBoot Haxchi Boot Menu is working.

Do you have any Suggestions/Ideas please ?

Thank you for your Help.:)

hmm...I've never heard nor seen this problem. I checked my cbhc install out to vwii at autobooting, and everything appears normal. I have had weird glitches with my nes/snes mini where there'd either be no sound or the graphics would be messed up almost like your pictures, but I think it was due to the hdmi splitters I'm using. they're cheap and shitty. it doesn't happen every time (seems to be random). I just have to fiddle with the cables a bit to get them to work again like changing inputs on the framemeister or on the tv, then back again. then, it works. or when I change from the framemeister's hdmi 2 to hdmi 1, I have to toggle the hdmi switcher from my tv, to pc, to tv again, because the signal isn't strong enough coming back from the wii u. strangely, the only two systems I've never seen have a problem with my hdmi switchers are the wii u and the switch. I think those hdmi cables Nintendo supplies you with are top quality.

That is maybe worth a try to connect the Wii U via HDMi.:)

Possibly. That's what I'm using.

Bye is that only on the gamepad, because it could be a hardware problem?

Not that I know of. It only happens with cbhc? Maybe try Uninstalling, then reinstalling? There's also some sort of cbhc fork that has more options.

here's the fork: https://gbatemp.net/threads/cbhc-mod-coldboot-haxchi-cfw-mod.453971/ I've never used it, so be careful if you try it.

Honestly I do not want to "tinker" around with CBHC...
As long as it stays on this single Issue,I will leave it better...

I hoped, someone will "recognize" this Issue...

Thank you for the Link,my Friend.:)

I'd at least try the uninstall/reinstall. it should be relatively painless. you just have to use the installer again to uninstall it. I did so when I moved from yoshi's island ds to brain age. I redownloaded yoshi's island afterwards from the eshop, so my save and everything works and is back. I don't know for sure, but I think if you copy the game instead of move it, you can still play the game even with cbhc installed. that's what I did, and I still have the rednand icon instead of do not touch, and it says rednand as well. it's untested though if rednand will work through there. it's been like that for over four years. :D

Thank you.:)

I take it it doesn't happen when going into the virtual wii from the wii u?

Yes.:)

What is still working:

- Boot from the CBHC Boot Menu into the vWii Homebrew Channel - works
