I've replaced joycon shells plenty of times so I assumed this would be fun. So what are my options? I have a soldiering iron. Is there any way to fix this?

I would post a pic but I'm too new here.

With a soldering iron will be this hard and u need concentrations and tiny soldering tip. With a hotairgun will be this more easier

Show me the damage, that's not too bad. Have you ripped the pads off? Depending on that this can be an easy or moderate repair.

If you did and it's messed up, then solder the wires there black to black test point. Solder the grey to the test point and the red, scratch the surface and solder it there. If the pads are still there then solder the wires to the pads directly. Best of luck, don't rush it
