:wacko::wacko::wacko:
for arcade obviously
They have a four player arcade version and a 2 player arcade version...
Four player arcade version requires you to use specific player slot for each character
Two player arcade version allow you to pick which character the player wants regardless of slot:ninja:

So, which version do you recommend? JBD or UBC?

JBD is japanese, UBC is english. EBC is also english, but it's european (PAL) version (No it doesn't have the 50FPS console pal games had) UBD should be the one you want. That's second revision usually fixing some bug or glitch. Like a 1.2 patch. :P

Welp, I thought using the core updater in the RA ui was working well, but something happened and now I can't run RetroArch. Guess I'll nuke everything and use the homebrew store version and see if that's working better now.

edit: installing from the homebrew store works fine, but attempting to install the "additonal core" packs from the store stalls out so... ???

edit edit: ended up using the stable install the store provides, and installing and updating cores via the RA ui. So far seems fine.

sorry for the delay. but the palette doesnt actually change anything. its like the colors are jacked internally

I just loaded up Link's Awakening on a few different cores - gambette had no sound, and sameboy a low framerate. fixGB seems to be working ok. I'm on what I'm guessing is a stable install - I wiped my old nightly install and installed through the Wii U homebrew store. Then, instead of installing the core packs off the store, I installed cores via the RetroArch UI.

edit: it looks like gambette no sound is a known issue that will probably get fixed at some point.

Atari 7800. I think it was the first ever system to have backwards compatibility too.
It was

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I've only got Stella working so far, and the repo is on GitHub. I've been working on getting the Atari 800 one working, but running in to some problems. I've got it producing an .atari800.cfg file, but even putting the locations of the BIOS files doesn't seem to help it locate them. I am pretty sure that's the error I'm having though, because after trying to load an Atari 5200 rom, it just shows a black screen and hangs there. It doesn't crash though.
I have a question for you and anyone else that's on the I have a Wii U that has Homebrew on it I have retroarch I have Super Nintendo and regular Nintendo and Sega Genesis working fine so I'm trying to get the 7800 Atari working on the Wii U and for some reason retroarch doesn't want to read the ROMs right or something I don't understand why the games are not working if you can help me out or someone on the site can help me out I would really appreciate it thank you so much

1) do you have the "prosystem" core installed?
2) do yo have the "7800 BIOS (U).rom" file in your /system/ directory?

Is there still support for HID devices? I got my fightstick working on HID to VPad but could not get it to work on retroarch

Darn, that sucks , thanks for the reply.
I found the creators twitter saying there was some support from retroarch itself for HID, I doubt ill be able to get it to work though.

Anyone else getting an error when trying to load a Core with the latest buildbot? (2 Jan)

EDIT: Oof, brain fart on my part. Deleting my Retroarch.cfg fixed it :P

The newest nightlies have a couple neat features:

  1. The zip now contains all of the assets, so installation is as easy as unzipping it to the root directory of your SD card.
  2. I made a change that produced a significant speedup in core startup time (I can't really say I "added" it because the fix was actually removing two lines of code)
I *think* the 1/9 nightly has the new code, since it was merged 20 hours ago. If not, watch for the 1/10 nightly.

Maybe someone can help, my issue is:

a couple months ago I could compile retroarch and cores without problem and was able to boot the on the wiiu.
If I compile the current version of retroarch or any core, building works fine but everytime I want to run on the wiiu, I get a black screen with "Memory Error" message. Maybe someone has an idea whats causing this? (I havn't updated devkit stuff since months [lack of disc space], mabe that is causing the issue?)

You didnt see my post on discord then? :P

I downloaded yesterdays build to test for you but didnt notice any difference in boot time :(
but I guess it's possible it wasnt merged by then? .. I'll test with todays build and report back ;)

Thank you for packing in the assets, that will save a lot of time in the future :)
