Is it necessary to have at least one aplication on switch without updating? Is it necessary to have it before hacking?

They are talking about title override which be default uses the album in applet mode, some homebrew requires full memory access and therefore requires a title, this however, can be something installed after the fact.

May I ask which guide you are using?

Yo fellas. I have a switch on 3.0 and 1.0 - I want to play online on one of them. Never did anything with them besides boot them up and check firmware.

I checked some of the topics and since they are both old models, does that mean that I can still use the Fusee exploit even if I upgrade normally to the latest firmware, burn fuses and play online?

If so, does that mean that I should just upgrade it now, play for however long I want online then use the exploit at a later date when I no longer plan to go online? Or do I have to set something up ahead of time? Or am I just misunderstanding stuff?

If it is unpatched, firmware doesn't matter for the fusee gelee exploit, but keep in mind you need a clean NAND to play online.

They are both vunerable to rcm, I would use the 3.0 one as your online switch and on the 1.0 one create an emunand and update that

edit: to update the one you want online, just connect online and get the latest update. Both console can be exploited. Also take a backup of the nand and boot files of both, don't forget the keys and keep them safe

Could you point me towards a guide on how to make a backup of the nand and boot files? So, I should make a backup of these on the 3.0 switch then upgrade normally without exploiting(Because I would get banned by going online probably)? And later on in like a year or whatever, I can still exploit the switch because the fusee exploit is a hardware vulnerability and burned fuses don't matter?

do i have to have a modded switch to edit saves?
Do you see any way of editing saves without hacking?

I have a switch lite modded with SXOS installed and i accidentally upgrades to the latest version of switch firmware. So now it wont boot and per team-excuter forums SXOS has not been updated yet to work with 11.1. So i had a nand backup, which i restored successfully. However it wont boot after nand restore. any idea on how to fix?.
How is your SD card formatted?

Use Hekate to dump rawnand + boot0 + boot1, then use lockpick_rcm to dump the keys - Do this on both consoles and keep the backups safe, and separate.

Doing this allows you to restore in future and recover in case of bricks. (It's also a clean backup as it done before cfw runs)

Then for the console you want online (3.0 console in this instance), just boot up, connect to the internet then download the latest update straight from Nintendo.

For the console, you want hacked, use Hekate to set up an emunand on your sd card you use on it, then run daybreak with atmosphere to upgrade the EmuNand while leaving the SystemNand on 1.0 ;)

Hello, I've got myself a switch on 8.0.1. The serial number is not in the provided lists. It starts with XJE. Is this hackable? Could anyone point me to a direction?
Your switch isn't hackable.
It's the mariko revision.

Mariko consoles are not vulnerable to RCM however, they can be hacked, they just require you to get the sx core (sxlite if you have a lite) modchip installed to do so.

I tried looking for the line you mentioned but can't see it, so I'm assuming its just for the title overrides, so you can worry about that post cfw if you want

Again I have an issue with sigpatches and games getting corrupted.
I installed Doom, but it didn't work on FW 10.0.0.4 and atmosphere 0.13. so I updated Atmosphere to 0.16.2
Now several games don't work anymore, mentions that they became corrupted. And when trying to reinstall it say that there is an issue with my sigpatches.
I downloaded and installed sigpatches, but still the same. I think I am running Hekate, but not sure, how to check ?

How can I fix the sigpatches issues ?

I mean if you are using Hekate then you are using Hekate. Do you send Hekate or fusee as the payload?

I use the Tegra RCMGUI on my laptop to boot from RCM. then I get to the Hekate (v5.5.1) menu on my switch
Then I press Launch and select the left icon, which says: CFW (sysmmc). This boots my switch to the home screen. So I probably use Hekate ?

Then I think its pretty obvious what you are using. Grab the latest patches from here.

That did the trick, thank you very much.
Unfortunately I cannot prevent the games from getting damaged, is there something I could do wrong, or is it normal and do you need to reinstall several games again after an update of atmosphere ?

Its normal if you don't update the patches after updating the firmware. You don't need to reinstall the games but if you are going to update the firmware or end up accidentally updating the firmware, do NOT touch any of your backups until you have updating with patches that have been confirmed to work.

Really stupid noob question - so does just going online when running CFW get you banned ? Or can you play online under CFW without any problem at all ?
