The OoT remake is great afaik, I don't think it made any gameplay changes or anything that make it inferior to the N64 version. The MM remake is the main one to avoid, it messed up a ton of stuff like zora swimming so it's a lot better to play the original if possible.

Majora Mask remake is incredible with the restoration patch applied.

The N64 emulator seems a little rough on my New 3DS XL. Any reason for that? The latest DaedalusX works pretty well on the Vita, but is really slow and crash-prone on the 3DS.

For one. this isnt the psvita. its the 3ds. Its had issues before which im guessing will slowly get looked into and fixed.

For those who aren't in the Discord server, here's a build that re-adds the 4:3 aspect ratio option, with the default option now being un-stretched widescreen (called "Widescreen (Hack)").
This also fixes the corrupt font when exiting some games such as F-Zero X.

Is there a 3dsx version?

There have been quite a few changes since the last build posted here before Robz, including further performance improvements.

4:3 is one. But there are others. In particular, the frame limiter works meaning that the Tony Hawk games work perfectly at full speed with sound disabled. The UI has also been reworked and is even better than before.

You're welcome!
(I didn't implement those features, just so you know.)
Yeah, I know. Just found it very convenient since I'm not in the server.

Okay, so I tested a bunch of games on the emulator
Yoshi's Story is surprisingly good
Kaze's Mario 64 Sapphire romhack and Star Road run as good as vanilla Mario 64
Mario Kart 64 has some black transparency alpha issues on the menu but it's overall good with the audio and fps
Paper Mario is a little laggy but renders textures better. Still has flaws
Mischief Makers still suffers text rendering and performance but it's no longer a slideshow
Super Smash Bros is the same; it's okay. All previous texture problems are still present and the opening desyncs audio

@UltraSyko Did you tinker with the settings, what rom version of Yoshi's Story did you use?

It freezes after the Nintendo titles screen. I can't get beyond that on the recent cia built, Yoshi's Story US.n64. No settings changed.

Hello everyone, I'm just butting in to say thanks so much for all of the effort still being put into this. Is there a page where I can donate to motivate development for this platform? Pokemon Puzzle League and Iggy's Reckin' Balls are ones I'm REALLY looking forward to get working on my 3DS.

I'm enthusiastic to try more ROMs I have on my NAS in both n64 and z64 formats. However, since I'm not a member of the discord server, I'm wondering if someone could send me the latest build (or a discord invite) since I read there is one newer than the upload on page 52.

Thanks.
