are you using hekate to launch or fusee-primary?

All this time I have been loading through Hekate. Im using TegraRcmGui. Ill try switching over right now.

It gives me 4 options to choose from

Is the one labeled Fusee_Atmosphere the one you talking about? Or something else entirely?

I downloaded the file and injected that specific payload, and it brought up the Atmosphere word and its purple background, and some R letter beneath it (Not sure if I need to press anything there)....anyways after like 20 seconds the word Atmosphere and its purple background go away and are replaced with some black and white logo kinda looks like a triangle. And then it loads into homebrew.

However when I click on Tinfoil Installer, just like before it goes black, then 1 or 2 seconds later the homebrew screen shows up

Edit: Not sure if this matters or not, but I noticed the Tinfoil Installer says 11.0 Does my version of switch being a lower one mean anything here?

Home screen on the Homebrew menu? Or home screen of the normal switch unmodded? Because regardless I dont see either

Think I should mention though, I think right before you last reply, I was browsing some threads here in 2020 and saw someone mentioned HBG, so according to it it told me to delete the existing Tinfoil that was on my switch (Which was 11.0 I guess) and then download the hgb shop zip which i replaced.

But now, when I hit Tinfoil installer, instead of going black 1 second then going back, it seems it attempts to load, but then gives "An error has occured. Please try again later." Says error code is 2155-8007

Ugh. I think I may have bricked my Switch. I decided to start over. So I plugged my SD card into PC and deleted everything on there. I went back to guide and installed the SD folder on SD Card. I tested the fusee-test and it brings up the success screen.

However I noticed my Switch doesnt turn on. Like just the regular power button isnt bringing anything up. Taking out the jig and pressing the power button still doesnt turn it on.

Have I really just screwed myself?

Edit: Dang. Cant even inject the hekate or atmosphere payloads anymore

Edit: Oh thank the fucking heavens. So looks like I was a retard on 2 things.

1st. I actually brought the SD Folder to the SD Card, instead of just emptying the contents of the SD Folder to the SD Card.

and 2. AutoRCM was enabled the entire time . So I just turned it off and now I can actually see my damn normal switch screen again.

Granted, Im back at my starting point in trying to find the best way to install games, but at least with this Im not freaking out now. Christ

download the latest tinfoil nro from tinfoil.io run the app after launching with fusee-primary, and it should install an app which you can launch from the home menu

Remove any hbg stuff for now at least

Then made sure to boost in fusee.primary. Which brought me to the emuMMC. I clicked on an application and held down R to access Homebrew, I went to the right and clicked Tinfoil Installer. It went black for a second, then back to same homebrew menu screen.

Since I didnt see it on the homebrew menu, I figured you meant the Home Screen of emuMMC. So I turned off my Switch. Loaded fusee.primary again. Which brought me to my emuMMC, and I think I see where on that screen its supposed to be. Just taking up another square like any game installed would. But its blank and has a constant loading screen on it. Ive waited 5 mins wondering if it would change to a picture of some sort but it didnt. I clicked on it, and it asked to either Start Software or Update. Didnt know if Updating was good so instead hit Start Software. It checks my Software Information and returns with a black box saying "An error has occurred. Please try again later. IF the problem persists, please try performing a system update from System Settings -> System on the Home Menu

Dont know if I should be updating anything or not. But if you see anything in my list of steps I did wrong dont be afraid to tell me. Thanks again

it seemed to not install properly, deleted the corrupt install and just try via applet mode, i'm about to head to sleep but im ure outers will help

Finally got Goldleaf/usbloader to work.Was able to install a patch to fire emblem houses, but couldnt download the actual game, but im pretty sure its due to the version of signatures or something, cuz i downloaded 2 seperate base game only files and got different errors for both.

Gonna try downloading other games with no dlc or anything at the moment for testing. But I guess in general my question is, what exactly would I do to solve different version base game/patches/dlc files?

I have been reading through a few things. some people say that staying on low firmware is best, others say it doesn't matter and I also notice some people saying as soon as you get the switch, connect it online, update to newest firmware and then continue to softmod it.. Should I update first?

If you factory reset before installing custom firmware then yes. Otherwise no.

I can't enter emuMMC only sysMMC.
"emuMMC is forced but not enabled failed to launch HOS"

Where did you download the patches from? There are 2 sets of patches for each bootloader.

There is only one reason a lower firmware is better and that is because we do not have an untethered coldboot exploit but the chances are higher with the earlier versions. If you don't mind losing out on this, then you can just update without worry. But if there is a slight chance you do care, its best to hack your console first then update because there is a way to update while retaining a path for downgrading.

emuMMC is not on the SD card plus you didn't update the bootloader folder.

The updated bootloader folder comes with Hekate when you download it. And did you even setup emuMMC in the first place?

I bought the Switch via facebook and it was already jailbreaked. The only thing I did was updating it to 11.0.0 and upgrading the SD from 64GB to 125GB. Can I setup the emuMMC afterwards?
