DS Newbie Dad here trying to salvage my son's birthday.

I tried to reset a used wine red DSi XL, and I accidentally deleted the Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters game. I've quickly learned that it cannot be reinstalled using any built-in tools, nor brought in the through the DSi Shop since it closed years ago. Since the game was never released on a cart, I can't even buy it second hand. I've now picked up a second used blue DSi XL with the game on it in hopes of transferring it from there to the red on using the SD Card backup process.

I'm hoping that I can use DSIhax, Memory Pit, DSi Guide, eipHax or something else to make this happen. Pointers and help will be accepted with eternal gratitude.

Thanks to @shutterbug2000 you can easily use the Memory Pit Exploit on your Wine Red DSi XL.No more Brain Age Game needed.

Please use this Guide (please avoid Youtube Manuals, they are often outdated and missing important Parts !!):
https://dsi.cfw.guide/

Please check your DSi Firmware Version to choose the correct Exploit Version.
System Settings -> on the Upper Screen on the right/down Corner - like "Ver 1.4.5E" for Example.

Then please proceed with the Guide. Please read carefully and in Calm and Peace and do not skip a Step please.
If you have Questions, please ask. daumen.gif

Good Luck
Thank you.:)

if it's the dsi, i dont really think video guides can even be outdated anymore, its not like nintendo releases patches that would outdate a guide for the dsi

If you can show me a "gapless" Youtube Manual compared to the Guide,I will change my Mind with pleasure.:)

Thanks Alexander. Just to be clear, I'm literally looking to reinstall the Brain Age Express game just to have the game itself, not to use it for an exploit/jailbreak. I will focus on the DSi.cfw.Guide at this point. Thanks for that. I'm hoping that the backup of the game I made on the blue DSi will be installable on the red DSi.

There is an Manual how to backup your DSiware:
https://dsi.cfw.guide/dsiware-backups
Please read a little down for the Chance to use it on an modded DSi.

But only for modded DSis,you can not use this on the real DSi NAND.

Also this GBAtemp Guide is only for the SD Card NAND:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...he-main-menu-no-twilightmenu-required.517580/

And simply copy the DSiWare on the SD Card is possible (in the DSi "Data Management"),but you can not use/copy it on an other DSi this Way.:(

This GBAtemp Guide shows you how it is possible, but Reading/Understanding is needed and little Work to do:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/photo-g...backups-on-real-hardware-and-emulator.476817/

So it is your Choice, how important this is for you.
When your DSi is finally modded and you have installed TWiLight Menu, then you can play DSiWare too.:)

Thank you.:)

That's what I was afraid of, honestly.

I will work through The Guide and through that thread. Thank you for your help!
